I'd like to hear some stories. I know we have one of these threads every so often but they are usually just ghost threads. (Which mine happens to be.)
Anyway my buddy I went to school with told me a story not long ago. Him and his brother would restore homes. Well on one older home they were restoring they had some things happen. One day he said he was up their alone working in the crawl space pulling old duct work out. When he heard some knocking on the floor above him. He thought it was maybe his brother coming up their tring to get his attention. He went and looked no one around. Went back to work and had nothing else happen. He continued to have things happen power cords unplugged doors opens when they were closed. Well wht really scared him was when they had an electrician come out and check the wiring under the house. Power was turned off in te home anyway While he was under their the electrician said he had seen a light in the corner of the crawlspace he went over with his Mac flashlight to check it out the closer he got he said it looked like a little orb as soon as he moved his light to try and touch it his Mac light blew and it disappeared. He got out of ther and quit on te spot. Te eventually finished the house and the older woman who owned it said at the end if they had anything funny happen. They asked why and she told them they beleived it was haunted. He said he never believed in ghosts till that house. I've never had an experince but he seemed pretty impacted by it. Anywy That's my story
My mother in law swears that her father haunts her house. He built it himself and lived in it until the day he died. He then willed it to her. She moved back in after her husband (my husband's father) died. My husband always thought it was just his mother living by herself in the house and imagining things until he was sitting in her living room one day watching TV. He said that all the sudden the rocking chair started to rock.... not slightly like the wind moved it but vigorously like someone sitting in it. He called for his mother and she just told him it was his grandfather....the rocking chair had been his favorite chair when he was alive.

LOL, religious people make me laugh.
Im not one for all of the Ghost shows on tv, but I never miss a Dead Files episode. If you guys havent watched it before I highly recommend it, especially if you are into the unknown.
I love ghost hunters, not because it's real or anything but I like watching guidos try to fist fight ghosts.
my great grandparents died in the same house me and my mother lived in till i was bout 14. anyways we'd always hear unexplainable noises and cabinets randomly opened. my mom just always said dont be scared it's just grandma or grandpa. i have better stories of living in that house just cant remember. anyways.....
me and harry live in a house that is only 8 years or less old on the same land not too far up the road (now my grandfathers land). we've had a few weird things happen every so often. (dogs barking for no reason, cabinets open and closing, and the living room tv come on when no one was near the remote) you know whatever. could be the air circulation in the house or something. we live in bfe so we dont really have any close neighbors or anything. anyways the one that got us the most was the time my foozeball table ,which we had to put in the middle of the kitchen cause the house is small, randomly turned its self on and started playing the little scoreboard goal tune. ok thats weird and all but the thing was IT WASNT PLUGGED IN. it does NOT run on batteries. we havent played with it in a long time and we were both sitting in the living room.
also ironically i had just pulled up this article while browsing the chive before i saw this thread. some good stuff here. several interesting stories

Holy crap man that's insane. You wonder with people seeing these things entering the water. If maybe something is deep in the ocean. Very strange. I bet that poor guy was freakig out.
I had this crazy dream...
I dreamed I was standing out in a field, and there was this huge satellite dish stickin' out of my butt. And there were hundreds of cows and aliens, and then I went up on the ship, and Scott Baio gave me pinkeye.
