I went for my chemo treatment today, and when they handed me my schedule, I have 1 treatment for March!!!! They are giving me a break!! I have taken chemo treatments for almost 17 months. So I must be doing a good bit better for him to give me this break.I am anxious, but nervous as well. I am hoping to regain some of my strength back. I'm so sick of being weak. I want to personally thank each and every one of you that have prayed for me, sent me well-wishes, and commented on my posts! You have become my family! I promise I will still come on and keep you updated on how I'm doing. Thank you all so much! God bless you, and I love you!!! Take care, and I'll be posting again soon!!
Keep it up, b_m.
Kick the shit out of cancer, prayers are with you.

Good stuff Bird. Sounds like spring break is going to last all month!
Great news. Still praying. Get your strength up and be ready for a game on the plains this fall.
Keep up the good work man.

That is awesome Birdus.
I don't want to jinx it or anything, but it sounds like good news. Rooting for you as always. When you beat this thing, we need to get some people on this board to take you out for about a weeklong vacation.
We haven't had a BB trip setup this year so I would think that you beating this sick disease would be as awesome as it came for an excuse to get about 30 of us together or so.
I know that you'll keep us updated and I will look forward to your next positive update.
I would be down for taking birdus out where ever he wants to go, we could all pitch in, and take him somewhere. That would be great.
I am thinking the same thing. I would say after his next chemo treatment, give him a few weeks to recover during his layoff from treatments, and lets make at least a long weekend of it.
I would certainly be willing to throw a couple hundred personally so that he doesn't have to pay a cent. I'm sure there are plenty of others that would do the same. I think that would be the best way to set up this years blue board trip around.
Lets show Birdus an awesome time and pay his way entirely and have a good four to five days or so of it.
This, I know you're serious, and so am I, let's get a few more people to agree to this, and if birdus has the strength to get out and about at all, let's make it happen man.
I'm sorry I downvoted you, didn't mean to do that.
Anyway, I think this is the best way that we could make a trip like this really special. As long as Birdus is up for it, I'm 100% in. Birdus, if you are interested in taking a vacation after your next chemo treatment, seriously let us know. I promise that you won't pay a penny for it. I'm sure that there are fifteen or so people on this board that will join us. We have been talking about the 2013 Blue Board trip for a minute now, and I'm sure that all of our wives will let us go when we tell them your situation.
Not trying to sound like we are using you as an excuse, but it would make it easier. I think that it would be an awesome time and for a good cause. Call me crazy but it's a thought. If some of the staff agree with me and pin this, we can get the details started. I'll set up a lot of it as long as I have a decent amount of people that are 100% in.
Keep fighting the good fight!
Well the last thought was Nashville. At least that was the city that has been talked about and that is easy for me.
It's going to take more than just myself and you though.
I think we can get some people in gear on this, it's for something worth doing.
Hell, even if he doesn't have the strength to go out, I'd go throw him a party at his house, or a location close to it, he could easily get to.

Well just help me keep the thought going. It's late and we can always keep this stream of thinking continued as long as we don't let it die.
It's all about HIS location.. And all about him..-
Even if we didn't have a real party, we can all pile up a few shad$, wouldn't u say??
thanks for being interested.

So B_M... Whatcha wanna do brother? We gotta at least do A-day right?
I haven't. Is it a good book?? I apologize, but I'm not feeling very good today. I think the chemo is kicking my butt. I promise I'll try to get back on later
If I am feeling better, I would be all for going to A-day!! I could be part of rolling the oaks for the last time. Sign me up
Best of luck. Sounds like you're on the path to happy days.
Take care and keep whooping cancer.
Very good book . Easy read. Great tips for beating disease and gaining and maintaining good health. It's pretty much a classic
