i dont know guys it sounds like something we should make happen to me ; we need to revenue and the jobs something like this will being . why do you guys not want it ?
1.The jobs gains they are stating will not happen and will be temporary at that.
2.. Tar sand oil is an extremely dirty fuel and on top of that the company that wants to build this has a long, tarnished history of fuel spills and lax oversight.
3.. The oil provided by this pipeline will not reduce U.S. foreign dependency but rather it will be shipped to other countries for export.
4. Building this pipeline will also most likely result in HIGHER gas prices.
On a basic level level, think of it like this. Let say the U.S. has a ocean of shit that we wanted to sell to other countries. Instead of transporting it ourselves we decided to build a pipeline to Canada so we can dump it there and let them clean it up for it to be sold elsewhere. As a Canadian would you want that?

Politics would be so much better without politicians.
Relax guys. Sky high gas prices are only a problem when a republican is in office.

Right, the Keystone XL deal is a front IMO. All of what you typed is true. Also, gas prices (as well as other commodities) will continue to trend higher regardless because of how weak the dollar is. If Europe/Greece ever gets their shit together, it could get even worse. I will say one thing though, if you play the stock market right, you could make a killing during these times.
Here are six facts about the proposed Keystone XL deal that make clear why the pipeline was a bad deal for America and why it deserved to be rejected:

good post , thanks

They would stay home & those are obamas foot soldiers. Go door to door. Donate a lot of $. Those wack jobs do a lot of campaign work.
Good. Let's get into more alternative industries. Oil is old news.
Or if neither had subsidies and we just let the markets decide. But within the system, agree with you.
What a bunch of crap! Sally kohn is the biggest liberal commentator on fox. Futher left than alan combes. Why do liberals hate "big oil" because it makes a profit. Creates jobs for let's see. The people who drill it, transpot it to the refinery, the people who refine it, & people who then transport the refined oil to gas stations. That's a lot of jobs. But that "evil" company makes a profit. No let's invest in companies like SOLINDRA & all other green energy that is going bankkrupt. I'm all for any kind of energy, & as soon as solar is as cheap as oil its not a debate.
Yeah they get tax supsidies. Then the gov. Turns around & taxes at $.60 a gallon. I would like to see the cost of those green eneries with similar taxes. Oil is extremly over taxed.
Big oil? Haha, you don't even know what big oil is. I work in the industry and trust me we are not "big oil"...far from it. You want big oil, look no further than the OPEC members. As far as the Keystone XL deal is concerned, I believe it's a front. If we want job creation and/or increased domestic production there are far better means to do so like opening up the Virginia and Alaska coasts as well as more Central/Eastern Gulf of Mexico waters to drilling.
So tell me in the state I live in gas is taxed 60 cents A Gallon. 19 cents a gallon goes to the roads. Where does the other 41 cents go. The fact is when ever the state needs $ for their overspending. They just raise the gas tax. Gov. Loves to demenize the oil companies.
Please re-read my post. Am I anti oil. NO. Enviromentalist refer to exxon oil ect. As "big oil". Not OPEC. Yes I want to drill here. Obama will block that too! I want an energy independent U.S. & if we are going to do that now it needs to include OIL, & COAL. Sorry I know the truth hurts.
Just saw this.
Their is huge backlash in Nebraska. Transcanada sponsored an ad in the stadium during football games that was removed due to audible booing. A Nebraska game is a red-blooded, politically, environment.
The opposition has managed to get support from people who are against that much eminent domain in addition to the concerns about the Ogallala aquifer. Any effort to shift it further away from the aquifer shifts it closer to the Missouri and into the more populated part of Nebraska.
In memory of Tusks.
No surprise- I'm sure if some pipeline filled with the most toxic oil out there was being built by a company with a history of oil spills and lax oversight in lestat's backyard he/she would be completely thrilled about it.
The only way it will get settled in Nebraska is in the United States Supreme Court. Too much money for lawsuits on both sides.
Yeah. It seems things like this get settled by how much people can lawyer up.
Nebraska has some interesting big lawsuits coming up. This in addition to Pine Ridge suing the liquor stores and big breweries over White Clay.
I did read & as I stated earlier that article was written by a far leftist sally kohn. Yes we ship oil into the global world supply & in return we ship in a cleaner oil supply to meet are standards. It increases the oil supply witch drives down the cost not increase it. Nice try.
I likey !!! hope you are correct
Yes we are exporting refined oil products. Cuz We are the only country that can refine this much shale oil. Why ship oil from canada to texas u ask. Cuz the refineries were built to handle that type of oil. I know why leftist don't want cheap oil. To drive their green energy agenda. Witch is what your agenda is. As you stated earlier.
I disagree. Anything are gov. Does will be half a$$. Why not wait for a company to figure this out on theirs own. The company that comes up with a solar driven car for cheap will make billions of dollars. The fact is its not even reasonable right now. We have gov subsidized car right now that can't sell. The chevy volt sold 600 units nationwide in the month of January. Not a good money maker for a company coming out of bankrapcy
Is this about the Keystone oil pipeline? Or is it something else?
the very same
