Good historical perspective and some signs of things to come.
Feel free to leave some comments on Clay's page. I feel bad that no one has, but can't really comment myself without looking like a douche

Really good article. I laughed at the quote about him not being a Bama fan. I see so many comments about that I thought it was funny.
That's actually a very interesting piece.
No way in hell I comment on Travis' page though.
I read that this morning and even with this being my first site ive ever subscribed to im thoroughly impressed with everything I've seen and all the future plans I've heard about. Constantly trying to impove your product is an all consuming endeavour but everything here is top-notch and is still trending upward. Amazing whats been built in such a short amount of time.
Keep up the great work guys!

Come on, you have to have about 15 different account you could use. Coach Urbs would not like this attitude. Doin' work!
One man one account, son.
And Travis is a complete tool.
So how long before 247 passes Scout in the number of subscribers? Not long imo.
Good stuff. Nice man behind the curtain, article.
Time and change will surely (truly) show
How firm thy friendship ... OHIO!
I don't think Clay quiet understood my comment about being a bama fan and its not a big deal at all. I told him I was a 'Bama fan growing up and still am, but I'm a bigger fan of college football and follow the SEC the closest.
Again, not a big deal. Everybody in this business is a fan of a particular school, or they wouldn't be a fan of the business. And there's no way to know what fans want in a product without being one yourself.
Almost everyone of our employees at 247Sports works for a specific team site. We are fairly represented across the board.

Thanks for the kind words. The team is not going to rest.
Frankly, I'd rather this board be called the Crimson Tide Board as opposed to the Blue Board.
But that's just me.
I don't have a problem with you being a Bama fan and I don't think it effects this site in a negative way.
Of course there will always be the conspiracy theorists out there.
You guys have the best product in the business so keep up the good work.
I like the ring to that
University of Alabama: The high mark of college football since 1892
First post on fixed computer
The Devidee has just been called out lol
To be fair, I'd rather it be called the War Eagle Board to the Blue Board as well.
We hope so too, but it's not really something that drives us. We know if we take care of our 45k, they will spread the word and others will come .. we're going to need to open a few more markets and then we'll be well on our way.
I do not like the ring to that.
Pretty good read
Great read. What I want to know is how someone becomes one of the next 100 employees?
Sell for $2 million.
Buy it back for $500,000.
Sell for $20 million.
Spend $7 million or so to start a business that is already bring in over $5 million a year.
Hard to find anyone outside of Apple, Intel, and Microsoft that have ever gotten that much return on an investment.
Post like a champion?
Loved the article as it's great seeing what Shannon has accomplished. Big UPs!
You forgot to capitalize Bama in your "bama fan" statement... It's fun being a Barner isn't it?
Great article. Good to know Lucky has street cred from his run ins with the 5-0.
Also nice to the here the story on how Devidee was brought to 247
