Crazy that we are recruiting him as a corner!
not really ,we have two studs onboard & are courting a third
Bryant called and the staff told him just that . we're full at RB but could use a CB/RS (see Javy Arenas).
Corner ? Dumbest thing i ever heard
seriously... why would a kid who is one of the top RB's in the country want to play corner? Even worse, why would you even think about that? Saban is losing it.
Not only that but he is already 200 pounds and lacks top end speed
Hell his speed is his biggest knock
Corner would be the worst spot possible for him in todays pass happy football world
Saban be trolling
Bryant called Saban, not the other way around. And we have 2 commits and a likely 3rd that are all better than him as a RB.
I guess they are going to a zone defense.
He said he didnt mind the idea of playing corner and said it was easier to make it to the nfl being a corner
Naw just dumb it down so players can understand it :)
Basically, he's all but officially a barner. They were hoping we'd go after him hard, maybe get a commit, then "flip" him with a copy of Yeldon's speech revisited at the ceremony. He's gonna end up at the barn.
We are in the running for some good corners but maybe the convo was misunderstood. Saban probably said we are full at RB, can you play corner? (joking)
He isn't fast enough to be a corner.
Oh and we are taking Green.
Yep..all barns, i dont even think we would take his commitment with the rbs we have, and the fact that Saban is picky at corner, very picky! See M. White recruitment, had to come perform to get an offer, and not only that we want him as a WR first.
You'll take them both if you can. With your attrition rate, you need a lot of guys at every position.
I dont think he is either. What have u heard on Green, seems to more of a bigger back that would go better than Bryant in a pro-style offense.
we can't. We have 2-4 more spots.
Crowder or another G
As Gerry Hamilton said, "One has a really stacked program if they can legitimately recruit Greg Bryant at CB. It says a hell of a lot IMO."
University of Alabama: The high mark of college football since 1892
we have Green higher on our board than bryant.
Green would fit our offense better than UM
Jerry can shhhhhush
This is Saban at his best. It's all about selling and if he can sell Bryant on being a corner, imo for the sole purpose of keeping him from Auburn, then kudos to him. This kid is not a CB in any way, shape or form. Personally I doubt anything comes from this. It's just a funny blurb in the recruiting cycle.
Saban been lost it listen to his interviews LOL.
2nd grade english class?
Which proves that he doesn't care about kids.
He doesn't care about kids? Where do you get that from? He has his own Nick's Kids foundation and has one of the best graduation rates among SEC coaches...it would be a lot worse if he would have promised the kid a running back spot and him never see the field because we already potentially have 3 higher prospects at that position already in this class. He was just being honest with the guy...if you want to play here it will have to be as a corner. I'm pretty sure he understands that's probably not what the kid wants to do.
I'm sure your staff can figure out a way to make it work...
