Which should I choose?

Why not hold out for the Droid Ultra or MAXX?
Dive for the thrill, shoot for the kill.
I was looking at them on the website, but didn't know much about them.
Without going too much into the ultra fine details, can the MAXX hold up against either phone?
Isn't the HTC one supposed to be the best phone for the android platform? I think I've read that.
S4 Active between those models.
or wait for the next nexus to come out (not the Moto X, but the nexus 5 coming out in the fall).
i would wait for the nexus 5
10 Major Poll National Titles (CFB record)
35 Bowl Wins (CFB record)
72 Wins over last 6 years (CFB record)
I'm on Verizon so I can't get the Active (And the One is actually out for that company yet, but will be on the 1st, if the rumor is true).
@Stache- I have heard that too, but the S4 has a crap ton of cool features as well.
Recently got the S4
I was inclined to get the HTC One, but salespersons at two different stores were emphatic as to the superiority of the S4.
Maybe they get a Kickback?

Just went last week and went with the HTC One. The phones are identical when it comes to specs. The snapdragon processor is lightning fast.
You are really choosing between the models and user interface. The HTC One is better built.
The HTC One and S4 are the best phones on the market right now, so you can't go wrong with either one.
Getting rid of the S3 and going with the One. The internet is so slow on my S3. My old Evo is faster than the S3.
Sadly, the problems in Nebraska are in the coaching offices and the fans that sit in the seats and defend them.
Just make sure you root either one you get...Both phones with a stock ROM are equally amazing. Samsung and HTC both like to throw in other crap to slow down the phone....ROOT YOUR PHONE!!!!

I went from the Note to the HTC One. One thing I noticed, is that HTC has a lot less bloatware than Samsung. I'm not bashing Samsung, either. They make great phones. HTC and Samsung are king at the moment, and the decision for me was the build of the HTC One being so much better than that plastic that Samsung is still using for some unknown reason.
I work for Verizon and have been educated on the differences for the upcoming One release on Verizon.
They are both basically equal. They are both freaking amazing. Better than the five no question. Apple needs to absolutely destroy the 5s because HTC and especially Samsung are about to throw down the hammer on them in the next 12 months if they don/t. Like, bad.
They already do dominate. HTC and Samsung are so ahead of the curve right now it isn't funny. Pick out any feature, and I guarantee you its better on the HTC One than it is on the iphone 5.
I knew this Snapdragon processor would be the shiz, but I didn't know it would be this lightning quick to do everything.
My last 3 phones - iphone 4, Samsung Galaxy Note, HTC One. After I got the Note, my wife switched to Android from iphone as well. She went with the HTC One X. We both said we would never go back to iphone. I don't feel handcuffed with a droid. I feel like its actually my phone, and I can do with it what I please. Not to mention the hardware is vastly superior. That isn't even opinion, that is just fact.
wait for the fall nexus. 8-core 2.3 GHz with 3 GB ram with a moto maxx size battery
No waiting. Just got the HTC One last week and couldn't be happier. Will upgrade again in July 2015 when I'm due for an upgrade. Just how phones work. Their tech moves so fast, its impossible to keep up. If you wait for the new Nexus, why not wait for the next best phone? Or the next best one after that?
You just have to go for the best phone on the market when that time comes. Otherwise you will be waiting forever because something better comes out every 2 months.
well considering this phone is coming out in about 2-3 months, its not a long wait. and it will probably only be around $400 completely unlocked like the nexus 4 was.
Screw that. $400? No thanks. Just got an HTC One with a case and the Beats Pill for $260. I'll take that deal any day over paying $400 for a phone. That is what I will pay for a PS4. A full fledged video game console that can watch movies, have internet browser, play games, ect.... Not a phone.
I will say that the Beats Pill is pretty nice. They gave it to me $100 off.
I went into the store because my battery had died on my Note. I told them I wasn't going to pay for a battery when my contract is up in February. They ended up letting me renew early with no penalty fees. I couldn't believe it. I know countless people that have tried that and they always got denied. Then to sell me the Beats Pill for $100? Hell yea. My wife plays that thing every night, so it was well worth paying half price.
No early renew fee($250)
$100 off for giving them my Note(got the HTC One for $100)
$100 off the Beats Pill(paid $100 for it)
Free screen protector($30 value)
Paid full price for the case. Can't complain there. $40 case.
I felt like I got away with murder in that store. Can't believe they did that.
And like I said, you wait for the Nexus and want to buy it outright with no contract for $400, that is fine. What about that other phone that is coming out in 2 months that will be even better specs wise? Or the one after that? There is no keeping up with phone tech. Not possible. It was between the HTC One and the S4 for me. I feel I made the right decision with the One.

you buy the phone for 400 up front, then get either an ATT or Tmob MVNO provider (exact same service as the real thing) for under 50 bucks a month for unlimited everything at anytime.
you will recoup the 200-300 dollar difference in phone price in under 6 months compared to a contracted phone. And for the life of the compared 2 year contract you will have saved well over 600 bucks.
buying a phone on contract is not the way to go
Yeah, I mean the iphone freaks come out in droves so I wanted to word it carefully, I also intend to sell a lot of iPhones in the future so I don't want to even frame anything as bad. That said, I anticipate that the Galaxy SV will come out around December 15th for Christmas. It will likely murk the iPhone 5s and ish will get real.
Google is seriously the most outrageously successful company. Their books are immaculate and their R&D department across hundreds of product lines is unreal. They will be the first trillion dollar company IMO.
Google Glass will explode going into fall 2015 IMO, the uptake will take that long as the product improves but a year in and it will be flying off the shelves.

First off AT&T's "4G" internet is pathetic compared to Verizon's 4GLTE. That and you won't have a warranty, you don't have service associated with taking issues to the store, and lol at 400 dollars. Where are you hawking phones from? A iphone 5 is 649 dollars.
ATT LTE is very good. Higher average speeds than Verizons.
a nexus comes with a 1 year warranty.
i bought my nexus 4 unlocked from google for $350.

iPhone 6 is going to be a better phone than most of us iPhone users have ever had. Supposedly a much better processor and 5+ inch screen. I had the Samsung S3 and didn't care for it and didn't notice any usable difference in speed. Don't really care for bench test stats. Had both, couldn't tell a big difference. I'm waiting on the iphone6 to make my decision on to switch are not. I've got a lot of money tied into this phone, apps, music, etc. if apple gives us a bigger screen and bigger processor, I'll stay with it. The build quality of an IPhone feels superior to both the One and S4. That's about the only thing it has going for it. Oh and I hate the keyboards on the Droids. Even the free ones you can get.
PS. I don't think you can go wrong with any phone. HTC One, S4, iPhone. Or any other top of the line droid. For me it is all about preference. I like the iPhone because I use itunes for everything, runs smooth as hell and is easy to set up and go. I really don't care about customizing my phone with widgets and everything else you can do on a droid. And like Stache said, I feel like typing on the iPhone is way easier on any droid. Course I'm use to it on the iPhone.
Droid's are great phones. I would probably go with the S4 just because I don't trust HTC a ton. But that is my own biased opinion, but you can't go wrong with either. Like a few people have said, they will be pretty darn close to the same phone spec wise. You will have to play a little with both phones and see which overlay you like better.
But if iPhone doesn't step it up for the 6 I'll probably switch to droid.
Verizon would have gotten lulz from your misfortune.
My friend and his dad have At&T and they always have good luck with upgrading and prices, Verizon is just the opposite. However, it does seem like Verizon has the better service.
lol, you're totally uninformed or just trolling. AT&T's build out on 4GLTE is still in its infant stages and they are mostly renting towers from Verizon. Faster? Please.
