Any good "early winner/loser" articles or could you all just tell me? Thanks
Jordan Reed should've came back. Will not be happy come draft day.
Tavon Austin may have worked his way into a first round draft pick after running his 40 but nothing surprising about anything else.
I wish Brandon Jenkins came back. Would have been a first rounder next year.
I assume you mean which players are winning and losing? If so, here are a few from our team:
DB Robert Lester- Ran a bad 40, and had a very bad week in the all star game. He is looking like a 4th+ round pick right now.
OL Barrett Jones- Not sure he is losing that much. But I kinda felt he would talk himself into the 1st round. Now it's looking like the 2nd.
TE Michael Williams- I don't know the specifics, but he didn't get to workout at somewhere for some reason. I'm pretty sure it wasn't his choice either, it was like he wasn't invited. Don't hold me to those details, but it was something like that. He will get drafted, but I think most of us thought he would be thought of in much of a higher regard. He is a GREAT run blocker.
OL DJ Fluker- He's seen his stock rise like crazy. In fact, one guy said this week it's risen faster than anyones else. He looks like a sure thing for the 1st round right now.
DB Milliner- He might be a top 5 pick. Not sure what happened, but a lot of people have him very high. A few have him as high as number two in the entire draft.
RB Eddie Lacy- Seems like he is going to sneak into the first round. The Falcons released their RB and have really started looking at him hard. I think he is right there on the cusp of the 1st and 2nd round. Right now, most are saying 1st.
OL Chance Warmack- Has been said by many to be the top overall player int he draft regardless of position. Depending on who you listen to, he can go in the top 5 or top 20. Some think he has done enough to warrant such a high pick and have said he's the best guard prospect they have ever seen.
Every yr I tune in, thinking a player's film, frame, football skills, and character will be the focus.
Then they start running those damn 40's...
Sam Montgomery decided to get very honest in his interviews. Seems like a bad idea to admit to taking full games off...
At least Sam Montgomery gets points for being honest. The linebacker auditioning for NFL teams this week admits he didn't play to his potential when LSU would draw weaker teams.
Wanna know why you souldnt draft EJ before the 4th round. Decision making. Just watch our offense in this, takes 6.5 minutes for the whole game. He's absymal
FSU 28 - Virginia Tech 22
I don't understand his thinking. Someone should have took him to church and let him confess everything then to get it off his chest.
Been reading recent reports saying some teams have Cooper higher on their board...
DB's havent run yet, so I dont know where Lester ran a bad 40. Lacy isnt working out due to a hamstring. Warmack actually didnt perform that well yesterday. Pretty slow 40, and didnt look all that athletic in drill work according to the analysts. If Milliner runs sub 4.5 he will be top 5, no lower than top 10.
Not guilty y'all got to feel me
Mayock called Watson "a future starting left tackle in the league." Seems like teams are very high on his potential and he looked solid in drill work.
1. Lester ran it 5+ times in Mobile. Everytime it was horrible. They pretty much lied the last time he ran it and said it was "in the high 4.7's". I don't know, maybe so. But I doubt it. More like 4.8's. Everytime his name is brought up people mention that performance. Unless something drastic has changed, I can;t see a guy changing it that much in this short a time. Call my cynical. We'll see
2. OK, what's your point? Lacy has seen his draft stock rise from a 3rd rounder to a probable 1st round pick. That's a winner in my book. lol
3. I could link you 40 articles about how well Warmack is doing but all you have to do is google it. The very first article that comes up is from yesterday. It has quotes form NFL organizations singing his praises saying they should take him anywhere in the draft. You will see a lot of quotes like this: "Warmack is one of the top 2 or 3 guard prospects I've ever evaluated in all my year." Warmack is arguably the best guard prospect since Steve Hutchinson." Etc.....I mean, I know you rag on Bama all the time, but this one sent it over the edge. lol
4. I'm not trying to be an ass here, just curious, where do you get this stuff?
Warmack looked like shit yesterday. He probably shouldn't have went to the combine
OT Lane Johnson tested like a LB. blew it up - especially for a OT. QB-TE-potential 1st round OT (according to Mayock)
Where do I get my info? From watching the combine jerkoff. The OP asked about the combine specifically, not the senior bowl. Warmack did not perform well yesterday...he will be a high pick but he is not a winner from the combine. Lester has not run officially yet. How is Lacy a combine winner from not working out? His draft status is rising from gametape, not combine performance.
I don't know you tell me. Why has his stock risen so much then? Just more film study, huh? I guess people just finally got around to watching that tape. I follow this more than you, it has risen. It's risen all week. But what I don't understand is why it matters. It's such an arbitrary point to argue. "Well his stock has risen this week but not because he lifted weights or ran the 40". OK, what does it matter why it's risen? It's risen. Isn't that the point?
Because he ran a slow 40? The analysts were pretty much sucking his dick during the OL drills.
I was being sarcastic. He does look way too slow and outbid shape. But he's a gamer
They shouldn't even show up on the same draft boards.
Cooper and Warmack are two entirely different types of Guards.
Several teams won't consider Warmack at all cause he doesn't jive with their style. Cooper is the same.
They might as well play different positions.
Heard all the Bama players are dropping, something about how none of them ever make pro bowlers or something
Steve Spurrier is a God, and Mark Richt worships him
Lonnie Pryor and Mike Gillislee really showed a lot of strength on the bench press with 17 and 15 reps respectively.
No I did not lose a sig bet, but I am really really really ridiculously good looking.
One of very very few
meh give it a couple years. Barron, Richardson, and Hightower will be pro bowlers.
