Most impressive running back haul since USC in 06 (3 5 stars) Johnson, Gable, Bradford, and Moody [followed up also by an stout 07 (2 5 stars) McKnight, Tyler, and Green.]
Question is which one takes the #2 RB spot at Bama behind TJ Yeldon? Which one transfers first?
I actually think Henry is the first to succeed there. (I know he's the hot pick to change to defense, but he's going to run the rock.)
My rankings of our four running backs:
1. Tyren Jones
so legit reality.... one of those guys is going to be 8th string at Bama next year.
hart, fowler, and drake are in the mix for 2nd, 3rd, 4th string.
so what 4 star - 95 rating kid is going to need to transfer in two years?
i'm going to guess jones.
don't tell him that
ketchup Popsicle to a woman and white gloves
Watch the below videos..............Keep in mind that Jones and Kamara played in the best classification in the nation, Henry played "solid" competition and Tenpenny in Arkansas is not overly strong competition(ie. only 10 players in the entire state for 2013 that are 3 stars or higher).
*****This is evaluating RBs not musculature and SPARQ Combines. The film doesn't lie******

You get out of it what you put into it!
Our coaches think differently. Drake just needs to get his pass blocking down.
Did you miss the whole part about how I started the whole thread talking about how great a running back haul this was?
Might want to read some first before trying to educate me. Thanks.
Still remains that you're going to have several guys who get nowhere near the amount of carries they think they are going to get.
One needs to do that from time to time.
"Because Bama now sucks just like FSU used to suck when we were getting dominated by OU. Does it make sense now?"- Sliger (FSU Fan)
None of those USC rB's lived uP to their hype.
But, I doubt that happens with the Bama RB's.
I do think Derrick Henry switches over to the DL.
Yeah, Burton Burns thinks he's the best pure RB we've had since Saban arrived.
Henry will never play defense.
I read it....and what does that have to do with my response?
You said you thought Jones would be the "odd-man" out....and after watching the film, Jones' film is the most impressive followed by Kamara....especially when factoring in the competition.
he actually has never done it.
i think he succeeds at running back first. but i could see him transferring before playing defense. he's just that committed to being a running back.
I think Drake is very much underrated. He is going to be a stud.
you posted 4 highlight films that i've already watched with no other commentary on them.
they are all 4 quite impressive.
mine was just a guess. mainly by the fact that i think tenpenny is better than jones, and kamara/henry have more versatility.
-I've been evaluating HS football players and track athletes for about 14-15 years. There is nothing overly impressive IMO about Altee Tenpenny.
-I've seen Kenyan Drake play in person in high school and at Alabama...I'd be highly surprised if Tenpenny beats him out as I've seen Drake in-person "ball-out" against the 1st or 2nd best defense in Georgia in 2011 and he didn't have much other help on offense. Tenpenny didn't "ball-out" against weak competition in Arkansas and he had the 3rd best average yards per carry on his own team and I've been told that the 11th grade RB on his team was actually the better player.
I've watched film of all the RBs with a person whose opinion that I highly respect and he feels the same about Tenpenny. Time will tell.
-Derrick Henry will be playing the hybrid H-back, FB, RB role as Fowler did last year

very well thought out answer. so tenpenny is the first to bust in your guessing/opinion.
will kamara actually be a running back at any point in his career? or will he play this hybrid wide receiver role that we've heard about despite not having a previous player really play that position at bama?
I think he's saying that if you watch all that film, you will likely come to the conclusion that Tyren Jones is the most likely of the 4 to be a feature back for at least 1 season in his career at Alabama. TJ is the complete package. Also, Kamara can run it from the backfield, but is more of a pace guy. Either way, Bama is going to use at LEAST 3 RB's, with probably 2 more for mop-up, so they'll all play at some point if they're there and put in the work.
group listed above wound up being total horseshit
well.... yes.... that was also a small reason for the original post too.....
DL? I think Henry could end up being a great TE. I'm not sure IF he can catch???
Tenpenny was recovering from a major injury this year. He will be much more explosive with another year removed from it.
No,no. Real Talk has spoken.
