I'm hearing from a few places on twitter y'all are close to being in the b1g. From what I've heard only Michigan and whisky are the only no votes due to y'all not being AAU.

Not happening, but that would be a disaster to watch. I'd love it.
what happened to the big twelve?
road games in the upper mid west in november.......
Great recruiting tool iyam
Come freeze ya ass off!
Better than the Big 12...horrible conference. Rather stay in ACC
Not guilty y'all got to feel me
Wow that would be a disaster.
South speed to kill the B1G plodders
id be for it. games with OSU, UM, MSU, UW, PSU and nebraska interest me a whole lot more than the flaming garbage we get now
FSU Ambassador to the masses
I'm curious as to the logic behind it being a "disaster." I highly doubt we would be the only southern team they try to obtain, although we may be at first.
Come on it the waters cold.
Sarah sorry about the Herpes.
the amount of money you guys will have to spend to travel will be insane IMO. Not just for football and basketball but for the non profit (the BS sports) will just cost even more.
wed still end up with more money than if we stayed in the ACC. our contract is probably half of what the B1G teams get. not to mention wed sell out just about every game instead of only 2-3 a year if were lucky
Goodbye baseball program if it happens
Not to mention being part of a great academic conference. John Hopkins just made the plunge.
See the subsidies Maryland is getting. Guaranteed its part of the deal for FSU as well. Also, when you do the math, the extra money the school gets from the BTN will be way more than enough to compensate the relatively insignificant travel funds.
I'm noting the only people really talking about how it's a "disaster" are fans of southern or SEC teams. Lotsa insecurity rising from this seemingly harmless little hypothetical situation.
yeah the holdup will be AAU. i dont know why thats such a big deal but apparently it is. were kinda screwed since UF likes to lord over us and keep us down. their Dbag grads are in the House so they like to kill any bill geared to help FSU or any other state school and try to get Flagship status every couple years so they can get even more money. it took forever for us to get a med school because they moaned and whined and politiced against it
I bet recruiting would take a big hit as well.
"Come freeze your ass off in the worst conference in college football!"
fsufsu said... I've got about 10 great stories on Lane but all you need to know is he will never be a loser, that's for sure.
I don't think you would sell out that much at all. Maybe for the first couple years when those fanbases still see the allure of travelling to Florida for the game. After a few years it will get bad IMO. I just don't think it would be a smart recruiting stake either. I would think it would hurt FSU in recruiting and wouldn't help...
We wouldn't need to travel lots of alumni down there.
Based on what ?
Florida State is still Florida State
Yea I know, SEC or Big Ten?
Easy decision there
That literally explained nothing in terms of FSU moving to anywhere and having recruiting taking a hit because of it
Good to see you are still an idiot though, I wasn't sure if maybe you learned some things over the past year
yeah i dont think you realize how many B1G fans there are down here. i see tons of OSU, UM, and PSU license plates in the tampa bay area. florida is the great melting pot of college football. all the yankees come down here when it gets cold to get away from B1G country
it literally cant be worse than the 5 BC fans, the 2 Wake fans, the 15 NC state fans, the 7 maryland fans, and the 3 Duke fans that show up when they play down here. the only games where fans show up are clemson, miami, and UF which isnt even in our conference
