Before the ND fans freak out, I'm applying this logic to either outcome. I think the nature of the matchups in this game will result in a fairly lopsided (10+ points) victory for either team.
If Golson has a great game, we can't stop their tight end, and the ND defense has an answer for us, I think it's something like 21-10 or 24-10 ND.
If our offensive line establishes the run / AJ comes prepared to execute like he did in the last NC game, our defense can hold ND in check (less than 2 TD's), and we avoid turnovers, I see a similar score but in reverse.
I just don't really see a scenario where it's a last play of the game deal. I think whoever wins one or more of the big battles I mentioned takes control and never relinquishes it. I think it's all or nothing with Golson. He either kills us or we shut him down almost entirely. Same with our run game. I don't see much middle ground in those areas.
Got a thread for that here.
I do and I think ND has a chance to win if Kelly plans it right
