Higher TV ratings..
I Ain't got no Worries - Lebron James
Can we also include MLB into the pure garbage category?
Fine.. Didnt play it. Dont want to play it. Dont want to watch it. Dont care about it.. Hope American wins but i wont watch it.
Like i said earlier the tv guide channel is more entertaining.
Oh sure, that's some of it. But those little pussies will take a dive to try and get any call or dupe those poor bastard refs into a card. I love the World Cup, but I can't watch it until the knockout rounds. That's when it truly does become a beautiful sport. I'll watch the Dutch play the Germans or the Azzurri or the Brazilians and those guys any day.
I totally respect those guys and their skill level. I'm just stating the obvious, which is that it's a soft sport compared to football, where I think the best athletes on the planet are.
Lutz. Most people know the NBA blows hog. It's football and everything else.
I'm not saying all soccer is more entertaining to watch tho. Not even close. During the match last night I easily fell asleep six times. It has to be a pretty big tilt to hold my interest at all.
yeah, that was low
lmao according to what ?
American TV ratings ?
I assure you that worldwide ten times the amount of people watch soccer than some NBA regular season game, hell even game 7 of the finals
Its not even close
fsufsu said... I've got about 10 great stories on Lane but all you need to know is he will never be a loser, that's for sure.
Every sport ever is soft compared to football, outside of maybe Rugby
Doesn't mean its soft, you can't be a great athlete imo and have any kind of softness in your mental or physical makeup

find the basketball court
Yes in America.. Dont care what the Chinese are watching.
Find the soccer field
I do, Im watching those sons of bitches every move
Some serious BBall comes out of that place.. Looks Beautiful.
They're too busy building ghost cities..
any park. or empty street.
I think its easier to play baseball than basketball. Soccer is the easiest. All you need is a ball and a square to kick at. Baseball all you need is a broom stick and some kind of ball.
doesn't take strength to kick. Some of these world class soccer players could knock you on your ass with a soccer ball.
Can they hit a 90+ mph fastball? Could they be athletic enough to play any position besides kicker in football? Could they be existent on a basketball court? Most pro athletes can do all of that..but i promise not many if any soccer players could do any of it. So they could kick a ball at me faster than I can and run a mile or 2 faster than me...so that makes there legs quicker and they are in shape....besides that. Nothing.
So, Prince Fielder is one of the best athletes in your opinion?
An MLB player that can hit a 90mph fastball isn't going to be able to step on a soccer field and magically cross a soccer ball 40 yards across the box to a forward sprinting at full speed.
And a soccer player obviously cant hit a 90mph fastball on his third attempt.
People become good at stuff by repetition and practice. To be elite requires amazing hand eye coordination (or hand-foot), balance, and natural kinesthetic ability.
Athleticism isn't a function of how big or tall your are either.
Guys like Adrian Peterson would only weigh 170lbs, if they were playing a game that required them to run 8-10 miles in a 90 minute game 30-50 times a year.

Lulz! Every last bit of that is a true post...I played at Shelton State in Tuscaloosa. Had major back problems my Jr. year and had to quit. I played behind Clay Jones who is in the Tigers organization for my first 2 years. In HS I played with Craig Kimbrel (who I am good friends with), Tyler Stovall (2nd round), Hunter Morris (2nd, 4th round, AA All Star), Colby Rasmus (Starting CF for Toronto) and his 2 brothers (both drafted). You believe whatever you would like but anyone who thinks soccer players are elite athletes should rethink it. Like its already been mentioned ITT you could take elite athletes off pro teams and have a good soccer team, but take a soccer team and let them step foot on a football field, court, or a baseball field and watch a travesty.
Minor League Batting, Pitching, and Fielding Statistics for Nearly Every Player back to 1900
nope, i promise a soccer player could not hit a 90+ MPH fastball if he spent all day trying to, much less try and hit something off speed after that. But most peoples idea of Athlete would be a guy like Calvin Johnson. Long lean, no fat, pure muscle, speed and strength in both upper and lower body, explosive, and can catch anything around them, can jump etc etc. Not 5'6 can run,can kick a ball hard, and have good foot-eye coordination. Yes they have leg strength, but as overall athletes they are no were near the freaks that LeBron, Calvin, Peterson, etc are, and they never will be. Any one of those players would be a soccer player in every sport besides soccer
Put him on a football field and see what he could do compared to a soccer player....Prince Fielder may not be in perfect shape but a guy at his size can do the splits, can hit a 95 mph fastball, and is an ox at the plate. Yes he would beat a soccer player in any sport besides soccer and cross country.
No soccer match will ever be more entertaining than that Heat bulls game just was.
