Named Top Non-BCS Recruiter twice before becoming head coach
Turned around a terrible Utah State program
DC for elite defense for Utah who was coached by who?
If God dwells inside us, like some people say, I sure hope He likes enchiladas, because that's what He's getting
Agreed. Really good hire by Wisconsin.
I don't think Buckeyes ever know what they're talking about.
11 National Titles | 42 Conference Titles | 3 Heisman Winners | 78 All-Americans | 37 College Hall of Fame Members
It's no UM hire, but what was going to be for us? He's on par with Al Golden in my mind and a candidate like that. Didn't blow me away, but I have to say I'm happy with some of the other candidates that were rumored. It will be important for him to hire coaches who can recruit Ohio and Florida for us to do well.
Once every coach you have ever heard of turns you down, he's whats left
Our quarterback does front flips, suck it.
I can tell if we did something right because it will always get a rise out of Buckeye Nation. Time will tell I suppose, but it'll be nice to not have a dumbass at press conferences. I think he's going to be a fierce recruiter, create a stingy defense, and be a nice story with Urban Meyer.
Solid hire by Wisconsin, imo.
He's got an eye for talent. Bobby Wagner, Robert Turbin, I think a few others in the NFL have came through Andersen at Utah State as well. Good hire Badgers.
If he walked up to me and said hi I'm Gary Anderson, I'd still have no clue who the hell he was.
I agree. Same mold as BB. Tough minded defensive coach, but just seems a lot more mature than BB. Better in-game coach, as long as the recruiting is up to par, which by all accounts it is, we'll be in good shape.
Wouldn't a wet blanket fit that mold as well?
You could've said that about hoke two years ago...
It's like when your sack is empty, and you use a paper clip to scrape the screen.

I can say it now. I'd think he was Fred Flinestone in the flesh.
Youre lucky we reminded you to congratulate them...whew!
2 as a gift? Penn State should've had one but you know what happened and this one is as fake as they can get...
True they did choose a coach who knows how to wear a headset
I'd rather have Greg Andrews. Or is it Greg Anderson. What the hell's this guy's name again? I'm sure he actually wears a head-set. Duh er uh....Ohio! Uh I uh Michigan man!

he wouldn't let his players pose in the Playboy All-American magazine edition, he said, "Cause you can't play football with an erection."
It was a hire no one expected, but I think it is a good one. Utah State has played above their talent level, and he is a big reason why.
One thing we can all agree on is that he likely is not as big of a douche as Baby Biels.
Losing the first two, especially to TCU, is...
Thank god for that last part. They might become bearable again.
But, It's still no Chris Peterson.
OSU and PSU are tired of carrying everyone on our backs because we are the only two that hire great, big-named coaches. Step it up.
You think you're going to be in better shape in the future than michigan because our coach wasn't big name at the time? Not that he isn't a great coach, but I wouldn't call bill o'brien a big name. A big name isn't required if he can produce.
Well that and your coach is a career .500 coach....
Yours was a career 0% before coming to Penn State. Now he's a .666. Brady's a .760 at Michigan with Rich Rod's players. What's your point?
