Just hired Utah State's coach Gary Andersen. Spared no expense to go out and get the guy they wanted.
Columbus 'Til I Die.
Not a bad hire. Good for them.
Danielle Hunter, Jamario Rasco, Anthony FREAK Johnson.. DL wrecking crew of 2013.
Agree I think this is a good hire.
Hope you're aware that he is an outstanding coach.
never heard of him.
Our quarterback does front flips, suck it.
Gary Anderson is a great hire. I wish the Texas administration had the balls to make a hire like that.
Sounds like it's a solid hire.
11 National Titles | 42 Conference Titles | 3 Heisman Winners | 78 All-Americans | 37 College Hall of Fame Members
I think it's a good hire.
you mean like his 30-31 overall record combined between 1-AA and the WAC? Only one of those (this year) being over 7 wins... impressive, define outstanding.
I was thinking the same thing. If you can win at Utah State, in one of the most talent-poor areas of the country, you've probably got a pretty darn good staff and coaching philosophy. You never know what'll happen, but I wouldn't laugh at this hire.
Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.
Really good hire... I think they upgraded over Bielema.
how has he 'won' there. He has had ONE decent season in the WAC. Only 2 winning seasons (other was 7-6) and the two prior to that were 4-8. SMH at most of you.
So the Steelers let him out of his contract? Can't believe he won't kick anymore field goals
That was at Southern Utah and Utah State. Utah State has a horrendous history, with a lot of losing involved. Gary Anderson brought them to their first ever 10 win season this year, and had a winning season last year. That is pretty impressive at a place like Utah State. Give him Wisconsin talent and recruiting and I guarantee he has success.
Or the fact that he took over and completely rebuilt a struggling Utah State program, even stronger than in state rival Utah.
Are you aware of what kind of program Utah St is?
You see that sign that says 'Rib Tips'??
I think it's a pretty decent hire. Their staff got raided by a few teams in the past couple of weeks.

Dumb da dumb dumb... dumbass
this is how you know its bad. smh @ wesucky.
its like the people who think Al Golden isn't a good coach cuz his career record is 40-45 in his career.... dude was 27-34 at temple in 5 seasons (including 1-11 in his first season as a HC). the 5 years before his hire he was 11-45..... not gonna say anything about anderson cuz i know jack about him.... but winning at Utah St. is effing impressive

Golden isn't a great coach.
