Michigan has re-offered David Dawson and he will visit December 14
His no visit policy was always a farce.
Michigan isn't a strong enough program to have such a policy.
But it's Michigan fer god's sake!!!
Dawson??? Cant be, thought Hoke dropped him?
Seriously Michigan fans, explain this one... What's stopping future kids from taking visits now... All they have to do is take the visit and re commit like Dawson might do. Sounds like corch is getting a little desperate
I'm sure the death of his father factored into it. Dawson's been through a lot this year, and you have to feel for him.
Michigan has been recruiting other OL since his de-commitment, but there hasn't been any OL commits since. Now, if he wants back in then he'll have to do it soon with a couple of OL prospects visiting in a couple weeks.
11 National Titles | 42 Conference Titles | 3 Heisman Winners | 78 All-Americans | 37 College Hall of Fame Members
Going to be nice getting Dawson.
Once again tOSU and MSU have to go back to the drawing board for their OL targets.
Call it what you want Joester, Hoke went back on the policy. The policy is a farce now. Just the other day you guys were bad mouthing Dawson. Now, everything is fine. All I got to say is you guys are great comedy.
He visited, his offer was pulled. End of story.
I called him out. [shrugs] I'll be honest with that. I thought he's acted like a immature kid over the past few weeks.
But if Hoke feels like Dawson has become more mature with recruiting, and feel like an offer should be given out again then I'm all for second chances. Dawson has been begging Michigan commitments over the past couple weeks to talk with Hoke to give him a second chance.
Just because Dawson has been re-offered doesn't mean the staff will stop recruiting other recruits. There's 1 spot left on OL, and whoever wants it the most will get that spot.
With all these o-linemen, I'm guessing they'll have to move Kalis to running back and Dawson to receiver given their utter whiffs at playmakers?
And I shall rejoice in victory for another 365 days over That School Up North.
Joester since you guys have an answer for everything what's to stop Dawson next time Hoke gives him a hard line choice. I mean he got away with it once. What about other recruits? He has egg on his face whether you want to admit it or not.
They risk getting their offer pulled and not offered back a la Pharoh Brown?
It's funny people like you are always trying to negate this policy?
Why do you care so much?
Ahh so now it's only the privileged that can say "screw you" to Hoke's policy and act like it basically never happened. Great for that integrity... [roflamo]
The policy has always been that you lose your spot if you visit. Dawson (and Conley) lost their spot because we went after more recruits at their position. We can fill their spot and they would be left to inferior programs like OSU.
It's not Hoke's fault that Buckeye fans can't understand how that works
It's better than having to move Jalin Marshall to LT because you have no good OL recruits
Oh so it's alight as long as they wink* wink* "lose their spot" wink* wink* everything is all good. I got it now.
The OL thing is sooo 4 months ago. We actually have an OL coach now.
They only lose their spot if Hoke is meh about them.
I have no idea what you're saying, but they lose their spot. That's why we've offered and recruited more OL. They can commit if they want to because we don't make up the "non-commitable offer" BS. Hunt or Lacy can commit and Dawson's out because he took a visit. If we offer James Crawford, then Conley will be out of his spot because he took a visit.
That's what the policy is and that's what it's always been.
When has that happened?
We have a good WR coach and RB coach.
His policy was that your offer was pulled if you visit... With Dawson getting his offer back there's essentially nothing left to discourage future commits from taking visits if they know their offer will still be on the table. They can just take their visit and recommit... The only thing holding them back is losing their spot? I don't think so, it's not like their going to fill up that fast. Sorry hoke looks desperate and knew he was going to lose two good commits due to his retarded policy. Spin it any way you guys want...
The policy has always been that if you visit somewhere else then you're not considered a commit and Michigan will recruit other players at your spot. You will still be recruited but you could lose your spot. I don't understand why that is difficult to grasp.
Hey man, whatever floats your boat. If it helps you sleep at night. Give a 'wink wink' and a nod and everything will be okay.
