In your opinion what recruit is the most under/over rated prospect from composite and 247sports rankings for the 2013 class? Try to keep your bias/hatred out of it. If inclined tell us why you think that.
Kid is a 6'2" 225 pound LB
Coverted safety, so he has speed and solid ball skills
Has a few pick 6's in his career including one this year
Hits like a boss
Overshadowed by playing next to Danny McMillian but his 86 ranking on here is ridiculous
I would rate him a 90 for now, or low 4 star
IMO Dee Liner is slightly over rated by the composite list. Carl Lawson or Jeremy Johnson are a bit underated. Carl Lawson blew up in camps and a lot of people thought he was a camp warrior and that's it. He has started out to a great senior season in a very tough GA HS class. Jeremy Johnson didn't get a whole lot of attention because he rarely went to camps. He looks pretty good in game film though. Jordan Wilkins is probably my number one guy that I think will contribute as soon as he comes in and will be a force. He can catch the ball out of the backfield and is a big tough runner. He seems like a kid that has his head on straight and wants to work for everything. Only problem with him is he is facing low competition on a not great team. He's not putting up incredible numbers in it either. Those are the guys I feel pretty comfortable about saying this because I've watched highlight films, games, and read analyst on them. Doesn't mean anything more or less then just my opinion. Just want to see what everyone else is thinking.
Over rated Sebastian La Rue
Under rated Jason Hatcher. He's a 4* composite. He's a 3* 89 on this site. The explanation given is that his height, 6'1, will keep him as a 3*. The kid is extremely explosive off the edge. He should be a 4* here like he is listed on every other site
Overrated: A'Shawn Robinson
Underrated: Sorry if I sound bias, but I truly believe David Dawson is severely underrated. IMO, according to the composite, he is the 3 best OG on is own team, behind Kyle Bosch and Chris Fox. He is definitely better than both of them imo.
I think Dawson is the 2nd best OG in the nation, only behind Ira Denson who is committed to FSU. Denson is a beast, but Dawson is right behind him.
Reuben Foster- Extremely underrated... dude should have 19 stars.

LSU QB commit Rettig very underrated on 247.. Lewis Neal is another kid that is vastly underrated on here..John Montelus comes to mind also... Overrated I'll say Morris, loads of potential, but still has long way to go..

Overrated- Alex Anzalone
Underrated- Alex Collins
Underrated - Lewis Neal (Ridiculous player for a mid 3* ranking)
Overrated - Tyrone Swoopes
Star, didn't read your post before I posted but I agree with you whole-heartedly ... +1

Overrated: Billy Price
Underrated: Tracy Sprinkle
Golson. Should be a ~90 IMO
Marques White, wont do anything his first year but this guy has potential like crazy. 6'1 185 4.45 40in vertical. Aggressive, supremely athletic.
I love these types of topics.
A lot of good thoughts on here.

I know OP said no bias but I'm doing it for Michigan because they are the players I actually research.
Underrated- Deveon Smith. Kid is going to be a beast at RB for Michigan.
Overrated- Henry Poggi
Over rated- Tyrone Swoops
Under Rated- Defense I agree with you that its Marquez White, but I also agree with nova as well Tyrell Lyons in underrated as well.
Offense- It has to be Alex Collins. Kid is a Freak
I agree on Smith. I like him alot. He's going to be very good.
Underrated - Ryan Green, kid is a 5 star
Overrated - Kelvin Taylor top 100 kid just no 5 star
Overrated: I'll go with Torrodney Prevot. He's a tweener without a position for us IMO.
Underrated: Justin Davis. Isaac seems to get all the attention at RB while Davis is probably a better fit for our style of offense.
Non USC recruits.
Overrated: Elijah Qualls.
Underrated: Paul Harris.
Another underrated is Stacy Coley. I think the websites are enjoying his recruitment not being overly speculated over because Florida bowed out. But he's a five star if five stars even really exist. He is dominant and projects to remain so at least one level up in college.
underrated- Jalin Marshall
overrated- Cam Burrows I still think he's going to be a very good player but having him in the 30's is too high.
I'll do this for a couple teams that I actually really research:
Over: Henry Poggi - too much of a tweener, I worry about him finding a position in college.
Under: Channing Stribling - big, athletic corner who's blowing up at one of the best HS programs in NC.
Over: Evan Lisle - sloppy footwork and blocking technique, he's gotten by on size alone so far and he'll need to improve a lot to be effective in the college game.
Under: Darron Lee - Before he got his bump it would've been Ezekiel Elliot, but Lee has good size and athleticism and I'm always somewhat of a sucker for camp offers to kids who've been underrated by the media in general.
Under- Alex Collins and Stacey Coley.
