and it sounds like they will.....this staff is WAYY better than the last one. Now, last year's staff was radioactive dog crap so WAYY better doesn't guarantee anything other then being WAYY better than 2012.

Lol like lane kiffin is GOAT
Steve Spurrier is a God, and Mark Richt worships him
If Tee leaves for his dream job after only coaching for one year at SC, I am burning every mattress I own. Including the air mattress in the hall closet for good measure.
Butch Jones. Who???
Well there's that answer obviously. But as for the "on paper" conversations we'll have a trillion of between now and then its a good staff.
Butch Jones has hired that OC each of the three times he's gotten to hire an OC. So he obviously loves him as a coach.
What exactly will Tee's role be on Vols staff?
Lights out recruiter I am assuming?
I'm in the minority, but I like Butch Jones.
If it were just you and me in the world, you wouldn't be a minority. I told all these SEC guys that Butch Jones is a very good hire. He will have them back to where they should be (top 1/3rd of the league).
He'll be the WR coach with a possible title included (recruiting coordinator). Guy can really sell our program though.
I've been pleasantly surprised. I'll be coming back for you if he turns out to be bad
If he does stink... I never knew the bum...
@TNSportsRadio: Breaking: Tee Martin has declined the Tennessee Job. Let the burning of mattresses begin
Prepping as I type...
Pretty shocking he turned them down. He about exploded with excitement when offered, flew his whole family in and then said no. Weird
Are you willing to make a lateral move, to work for a man you don't know at all...vs staying at a place with the same job title, working with coaches and players you've spent a year with?
He can use this to get more $$ from USC, while getting on the job training in a rich recruiting area, plus he can enjoy his family and walk down the street without being hounded by crazy fans, lol.
"Here are provided seats of meditative joy, where shall rise again the destined reign of Troy." Virgil
There's no doubt reasoning behind it. Just seemed like he was jacked and ready to come home.
Take it for whatever, but there is a rumor floating around Bama wants him as well
The Martin's love L.A.
FIFY.... Tee isn't wearing the pants in that family....
J/K ... Maybe
Tee is staying in LA? Can't blame him....

were you there?
"It's what a brother would do for another brother"
Oh, I think he wears the pants alright, but he understands that the life of a coach's wife is not easy. I would bet a fortune that if the Vols offered a OC or HC job, Tee and his wife would be out of L.A. in seconds, and never look back. He may not love L.A. as much as wifey, but he's said all along that he loves it..and was pleasantly surprised.
Two of our posters on FightOn, who are heavy into the music business, said the same thing - (before we knew he was staying)...a singer can live anywhere, and record in any studio across the country. Nashville is closer, and it has a great blues and R&B scene.
The timing, and offer, just wasn't right.

LA is pretty cool....
Meh. Pretty much a no brainer outside of the alma mater snag.
$450k+ > $300k Of course cost of living scews those numbers
WR Coach = WR Coach
Cali >> Tenn
Married at 450k > Divorced at 80k a year
Haha, and I love being only an hour from that cool place...in a quiet, sane place in my nice little beach town surrounded by hills and rich agricultural land.
When are you and wifey coming down to spend the day? You'll see a place that can stand in for any small town in America.
Mostly cause I'm afraid shell want to move to said town...
