what do you do this offseason? I am out of L.A. for sure if I am him. Either Atlanta or Dallas with Dwight Howard would be good.
Dallas with Dwight in the paint and Dirk adding that outside shooting could be lethal. If Dwight stays in L.A. then I have no idea.

Stay in LA. Fire Vinny. Find someone who is capable of running a team and rotating players accordingly.
this^ There isn't a better situation for him to go into. Griffin and Jordan are about as good of a front court as there is in the league. Jamal Crawford can straight up score. There really isn't a better spot to be in if they get a new coach.
He should go kick David Sterns' ass for vetoing the trade that would've sent him to the Lakers.
You see that sign that says 'Rib Tips'??
Maybe you're trolling on the front court thing. Griffin needs to develop a ton in his face up game and jump shooting. Maybe Phil Jackson's ego can be stroked and they convince him to fight against the Lakers.
I was a fan of that move. After the whole Lebron debacle he restored order by not allowing the Paul trade. He showed the league that you can't let the inmates run the prison.
Good points. Griffin is probably the most overrated player in the NBA. If he can't dunk, he can't score.
Go to the Lakers & do package deal with Dwight & Lakers can Amnesty Kobe!!
If Kobe isn't amnestied or at least resigns a different deal they can't even resign Dwight.
From what I understand they can resign Dwight to a max deal with Kobe but do nothing else, but I can also see Dwight sign with Houston to play with Harden & income tax free would be a selling point for Houston to make up for some of difference of the less money he would get from Hou
If i'm the Lakers then I package Paul & Dwight as my future then I amnesty Kobe & that is a program changer
Howard is way overrated to be talking about giving him a max deal. Let's be real, he's not Shaq or Kareem here. He still hasn't learned how to take over a game and his maturity level has dropped IMO since splitting for the west coast. If I'm Kupchak I'm not even sure that Howard is the future yet. Howard needs to grow up in a hurry here if he wants to remain with the Lakers.
But good thing for Howard is the league is so watered down right now regarding top tier talent especially in free agency that the Lakers really don't have a choice but to resign him.
I don't know if he re-signs with the Clippers. It has been known for a bit that he doesn't like playing with Griffin that much. He has the burning desire to win Kobe does but he feels that Griffin and some of the younger guys just want to run and have fun (Lob City...) and Griffin feels like Paul just ignores him late in games. It wasn't talked about much during the regular season when they were winning but it bubbled to the surface a bit in the playoffs.
"Isn't it amazing what somebody will do when he can't bunt." - Vin Scully
I agree. I would amnesty Kobe, trade Gasol, offer Dwight 16 a year and if he takes it, then great.
If I am the Lakers I am wanting to rebuild with Russell Westbrook and Kevin Love. If Dwight will stick around for a year while it sucks then great, he and Love would be a dream frontcourt.
Only other option would be Lakers sign CP3 & go with Kobe 1 more year then hope U can talk LeBron into going to LA when he can opt out of his contract in 2014
Explain how the Lakers are going to get Westbrook.
Prestige, endorsement opportunities, coming home. Durant and Westbrook won't be in OKC in 5 years, guaranteed. IYAM.
While that would indeed be a dream scenario to getthose guys let alone Lebron Kupchak aalready said he'd like to cut down on the luxury tax, and while Westbrook and Love are both entering their prime they'll both want max deals. I just don't see that happening.
Maybe. They really like playing together. Not saying its not possible, playing with Love in his home city would be a big enticement for Russ, but we're a long way from that. Four more years is a long time, who knows if the Lakers are willing to wait that long, because there is no way they're getting him via trade.
Yeah Westbrook is not leaving Durant over life of their contract atleast 4 more years, Lakers need youth & superstars if LeBron will opt out of his contract then he is all Laker if that is not possible then its CP3 & Howard time hopefully for the Lakers sake
If Kobe can get 6 and 7 with Lebron that has to appeal to Kobe.
I'm pretty sure they would have to amnesty kobe to get LeBron, they wouldn't be able to afford both
No because then like Lebron, Kobe's reputation will be tarnished forever. People already say that those titles in the early 2000's were Shaq's and not Kobe's. That's already in Kobe's head. Last thing Kobe wants to hear is "Lebron had to get you those rings."
