New school I have to go with Eminem and Andre 3000. Jay z is honorable mention.
Old school is WAY WAY harder. So much more to chose from.
Theirs is so difficult. These are just my favorite. Obviously some BIG ones I left off.
Lauren hill and Immortal Technique are two of the most underrated artists ever.
Teein' Off on Links
How about Lauryn Hill and Nas?
Classic track. Lauryn & Nas is an ill team.
Lauryn Hill was actually one of the most popular artists out there when she was with the Fugees.
Problem with her was that she was a fvcking racist psycho, I mean almost terrorist with her views, and she fell off the face of the map. People just quit messing with her. She was certifiably insane.
3000 is really slept on. Has been for years. That ATLiens is my joint.
I'm white and I bought her albums when I was young. She said shed rather die than me buy her music. Whatever. It's music. I don't have to be friends with these people. They aren't my heroes. I just like their music. My dad is my hero. Never understood people who say Eminem is there hero. Why? He even wrote songs saying he should t be idolized.
Anyway haha, Lauren hill should have kept her racist mouth shut. Could have made so much more great music.
Oh and Moment of Truth by Gang Starr is my favorite rap ever.

Oh she was talented as shit. I'm just saying that was the reason that she fell off the map.
I actually remember saying that she was going to be a star after seeing her in that Sister Act movie. Anyone remember that?
Killing me Softly by the Fugees was an awesome song though.

2pac is G.O.A.T
dude was real, deep, political and for the avg black person they could relate to what he was saying.
great way to sum him up
$50 bet with Rebels10 - Best of 3 Egg Bowls

People better than 2pac from a lyricism standpoint: (that I can think of off the top of my head)
Everybody in the Wu-Tang
Kool G Rap
Pac is really not a good lyricist imo.
This in a nutshell. Personally, I think Nas is that dude.
What sanctions? Our 75 are better than your 85.
Also agree that Nas is #1.
I'm glad tBB agrees with me that 2pac is overrated. Most of the time I say that to people and they look at me like I'm effing crazy.
I can understand taking off Mos Def, Black Thought, and Guru.
I totally disagree about Kool G, the Wu-Tang, and AZ.
Old Jay-Z. Not current or last 5 years Jay-Z. Reasonable Doubt Jay-Z
Wu Tang- Raquan the chef thats it
AZ- Nothing without Nas
Kool G- didn't like his style
I'm from Cali so I like different rappers
2PAC, E-40, too-short, ice cube more my style
I would say Nas, Rakim, Ghostface Killah and KRS-ONe
Have you not listened to the AZ album Doe or die? It's amazing, no Nas in it except for one song. AZ is an outstanding lyricist, with or without Nas.
I totally disagree about the Wu-Tang, but I' won't get in to it, we can just agree to disagree.
Understandable with Kool G. I tend to like the rappers from the east coast more.
Not guilty y'all got to feel me
But on a real note, Pharoahe Monch is the most underrated ever
Hell yeah ,I've been a nas fan since day one. The only nas cd that don't own is nastradamas
Without self-knowledge there is no individuality
I think the Insane Clown Posse is a good duo. Them combined could possibly overtake Tupac. That was complete sarcasm.
