Gotta be in the 7-10 range.
That last statement is retarded. So Flacco is better than Marino?
It's such a dumb argument. Trent Dilfer >>>>>> Marino? What a stupid thing to say.
And I am talking about active. He isn't top 10 all time
Rivers is right there too, probably a better QB but hasn't played great recently or won recently.
I'm at 4 SD games a year, Rivers losses us almost as many as he wins us anymore, and if I'm not mistaken Flacco had a hell of a lot better game than Kap and the jury's still out on Wilson, Luck and RG3. If I'm not mistaken, a certain Cam had a great rookie season only to follow it up with a dud.....and you said Matty Ice

You see that sign that says 'Rib Tips'??
Matt Ryan is a better QB than Flacco. He hasn't had postseason success but he's a better QB. Flacco was a joke at the end of the regular season and his QB rating is average.
Agree to disagree. The 7-10 spots are subjective at best.
Everything after 4 is very subjective. I have Matty Ice near the top of that next tier, but you could convince me of about 10 other guys there too.
That dud season you say Cam had was pretty much the same season Flacco had
I guess next year will be telling then. I want more elite QBs in the NFL, but inevitably one or two fall of every year and one or two step up every year. Josh Freeman - had high hopes for him and he laid an egg. The QB market is pretty volatile.
Another question, would you guys pay Flacco the 5 year, 100 million contract?
Id pay any QB who can win me a SB and play in the playoffs on the ROAD against PEYTON and BRADY like Joe did.
And Rivers, Kapernick, Luck and RG3 and Russell Wilson are not better qbs than Flacco.
Maybe one day Kap, Luck and RG3 will be, but not now.
Based on body of work ill take a season with a SBMVP over a ROY like RG3.
In a word, no. In three words, not even close. I think he's more 12-15m, good , not great.
I'd pay him too, but not Drew Brees money. He isn't even close to being on that level. They really have no choice, but to pay him though.
I'd take Kap, Luck, RG3 and Wilson over Flacco for next year.
Flacco's stats since Cam Cameron got fired. (Excluding week 17 game where he only played 1 series)
118-202 1703 yards 15 TD's(16 total) 1 INT 8.43 YPA
That's 6 total games.
In a 16 game season that's 4541 yards 40 TD 3 INT
Obviously that's not going to happen next year because it would be the greatest statistical season for a QB in NFL history, but you know who else underachieved/sucked under Cam Cameron?
Drew Brees. Now look at him.

Yeah, I'm 19.
He got hot in the playoffs and so did the whole Ravens team. I'm not taking that away from him, he played great, but until he can put it together for a full season he isn't top 10 for me. The guy has an average QB rating and that really says it all for me. You don't pay a guy 100 million when he's been great for one playoff run.
What has Matt Ryan done to prove he is better than Flacco? He was 1 playoff win to 9 for Flacco. And I think 6 or 7 of those were road wins.
I wouldn't give him that as a free agent, but if I am the Ravens, yes. He is the face of that franchise and losing him would be a big blow.
He's a better QB and his numbers prove that. It's a team game, one player can't win or lose you a game. The argument about Flacco winning more playoff games and Super Bowls means nothing to me. Dan Marino didn't win many playoff games and no Super Bowls, but he's arguably the best QB ever.
Probably one of the dumbest things I've read in a while.
Its actually very true. Did the Vikings win the SB this year or the Packers or the Patriots or the Broncos? I'm pretty sure AD, Rodgers, Brady and Manning are among the top guys in the league, but they didn't win it all. Its a team game and unless you have a complete team you won't win the SB.
The dumbest thing said in this thread was that because Flacco won a SB he is better than any QB who hasn't. That is beyond dumb actually.
