This is the sportsnation question today. I was just curious what the board thought. I voted no, he could be if he played more than half the season though
Lol, from all accounts, he's an elite pain in the ass. But I vote "yes." #allhomer
When healthy top 10 wr. Don't know if that is classified as elite
Lol. When I voted it was 46% no and 54% yes so people are pretty split. I wouldn't say it's that homer to think he is.
I'm thinking about it and I have 8 guys I would put ahead of him so I'd agree
Well, I think he's the most elite receiver in the league and takes a shit on Andre Johnson. Is that homer enough?
He would be better with a better QB, cause the one he has is terrible
A WR is only as good as the dude getting him the pigskin
fsufsu said... I've got about 10 great stories on Lane but all you need to know is he will never be a loser, that's for sure.
Wait, Ponder isn't elite?
I vote no
No, he has no 1,000yd seasons on his NFL resume. I do think he could be an Elite WR if he were in a better situation. He cant be the only decent WR on his team and Ponder blows.
Definitely top 10.
If he played a full season he would put up insane numbers, until that happens, no.
“If you remember me, then I don't care if everyone else forgets.” ― Haruki Murakami
Pushing top 3, when healthy.
Andre Johnson, Julio Jones, AJ Green, Calvin Johnson, La Fitz and even a few others like Boldin are all on a different level imo
Harvin's biggest knock is he isn't dependable
Those guys are better pure wrs, but they're not rushing for tds and returning kicks for tds. He is one of the best football players in the NFL, when his head is screwed on right.
22 of his catches were behind the line of scrimmage, or at the line of scrimmage. The dude still averaged 8.4 yds a catch on those.
I kinda feel you, but fwiw Boldin has 11 rushing TD's in his career
Harvin has 4
As for his head, its never gonna be screwed on right.... that much is obvious at this point

With all that said, Im still taking every guy u named over him.
I don't even believe all that injury bs. He is a true diva, imo.
I think the kid is a lunatic, and there is a lot of evidence to support that.
Pothead and beats up every coach who tries to put him in his place. Still a Gator Great, though. Feels good.
Agreed, I like Harvin
His attitude is what hurts him, outside of that he is a special talent but he defines that 757 problem child to a T
Him, Iverson, Vick, LT, they all have that same tidewater disease running through their blood
Which Percy Harvin? There's been so many of them it's hard to keep track.
He went from being entitled in high school, straight to Meyer's hands.
Maybe would've been better off with Bowden as a mentor.
Those other guys at least vibed with most of their teammates and so forth. Everybody loved AI and Vick.
Percy is a problem, lol.
Not a chance in hell iyam, maybe in the mid 90's when Bowden was still alive and alert
But he would have been an even bigger disaster at FSU imo and likely would have just quit, got kicked out or whatever cause of the fact FSU would have still sucked and it would have been more difficult to put up with his crap
When you are winning national titles and you have a distraction like Tebow it helps
UF knew what he was as did Meyer, and they clearly tried to keep him and his actions out of the media as much as possible cause I remember the Harvin years well and he never got the amount of air time he deserved iyam ( the good and the bad )
I can see that side of the coin too.
I mean, in the NFL, players go off on coaches all the time.
But, Percy was allegedly choking out players and coaches at UF, lol.
Yeah, Percy beat up Billy Gonzales and cussed Meyer out when Urb tried to make him run stadiums. We had a shitload of goons on that '08 team.
He could be. He needs to stay healthy and needs a better QB
