and you act like our QB doesn't know how to throw a forward pass
10 Major Poll National Titles (CFB record)
35 Bowl Wins (CFB record)
72 Wins over last 6 years (CFB record)
I'm not saying that at all. What I'm saying is he's average.
this is what you said on page 2:
"It's so special that it will give the illusion that a scrub like Mccarron is actually a great QB."
Alabama would curbstomp USC.
Viagra to Shadow
Yes, SC's QBs have been rather dismal in the league, but let's get one thing clear, Bama's QBs are their backups. McElroy, Croyle, and McCarron (if he gets drafted) will be no EXCEPTION in this case.
having great throwing QB's has nothing really to do with how great a team's offense is though
I was joshing the Bama poster. Mccarron is average at best. You guys make me laugh. You're outraged that people don't think the guy is anything special. I'm not outraged by the fact that you think none of defensive starters would start at Bama.
Yeah just body bag us. When the time comes, I'll petition Kiffin to forfeit the game to avoid any embarrassment.
i never said that. i did say none of USC's RBs or OL would start at Bama except maybe 1 over Anthony Steen.
u act like in order to have a "good offense" you have to throw the ball. McCarron plays like he does because its all we have to do in order to win. Why would anyone want to toss the ball around 50 times a game when you have an OL as dominate as Bama's? Why throw when you can basically get 6 yards every carry? Passing is more risk (ints, potential no rest for your defense). If you have the OL to run on anyone......you run on anyone. And that is what Bama has
AJ has protypical size to play the posteams ition at the next level as well. He is a legit 6'4 and a wirey 205 210 lbs or so but he does have a strong arm and he has also displayed the abilty to put the ball where the defense isn't, not to mention the fact that teams were at times last season able to cue in on our running game, and he showed the abilty to carry the team with his arm, basicly he got game when he has too.
Never said that LOL. I said Bama has a great O-line and RB's therefore they have a good offense. Your philosophy is to pound the rock, avoid turnovers and try to hit low risk high reward playaction passes. That's sound football imo. Mccarron's just average though.
In what game did he carry Bama?
he was basically the reason we won the BCSNC, along with the defense. the 1st half our run game was shut down. TR got going in the 2nd half.
Vandy held us to like 40 or 50 rush yards in the first half and tennessee did very similar to that those were also 2 of his 3 best games statistically the 3 being the championship game he three for 4 td's in the vandy game and came out pitching the pill in the second half of the tenn game, the third quarter the first 3 drives we ran the ball twice
I'd say LSU not crossing the 50 yard line was basically the reason you won the BCSNC. Mccarron played good no doubt but it was largely due to the fact LSU was so focused on stopping the run that they got caught with their pants down. Fooling LSU with playaction on 1st and 2nd down was a pure genius by Saban.
Vandy? Tenn? Ok I take back what I said before. Kid's obviously very good.
was going to mention the UT game where it was actually pretty close by halftime as UT was putting 8 in the box ; second half the QB killed us making unreal throws to all points on the field , unreal game and it then opened up the running game which then tore us a new one
You asked me to tell you the games and you still have an excuse to carry on your pathetic argument, ok i will bite those teams were not very good i will give you that but their defenses were probably in a realm equal to your squad i would be willing to bet that tennessee this year could render you guys 1 dimensional on offense, and make it alot closer game than people think.
agreed , better team this year for sure but lots of room for improvement
I look forward to the back and forth trash talk all year. It will honestly make things that much more riveting if we actually do play.
It shouldn't be offensive players versus offensive players though. I think our offense would give defense problems due to how multidimensional it is. We can feature any part of our offense. We really don't have a weakness on offense save we need to clean up run blocking. I think Bama's power run game would pose a problem for us as well. We have some talented young D-lineman but their inexperienced. It would be a great game.
You nor anyone in the country would have the abilty to balance your offense against alabama. You really have no clue do you multidemensional my arse lol, you as well as anyone will be 1 dimensional the moment your offense steps on the field there will be no running on bama,s D, and that is why I said barkely will be picking turf out of his facemask bama would tee off on matthew once again this is fact not fiction!
One more thing, ask silas redd how it feels to get planted by an alabama defense, he was like a race horse wothout the goods, strong out blocks but not so much for stamina, he was rendered a non factor by the second quarter and before you scream that was last years defense, take a look at the yards per carry average sat night, and last years avg, that should give you some closure on your multidemisonal dillusions lol lol!
Cool story man. You already stopped USC from doing anything just by typing. I can dig it.
You're going to compare Penn States Oline and passing attack to USC's? Redd was all that offense had.
