Is that right? Please, tell me more
He has potential to be a top NFL draft pick, that is a top 10 player. Its hard for a QB to absolutely dominate in HS especially when he isn't on a great team. You can't catch and block for yourself.

Eh, we were about as obscure as UM was this season, but we only lose McGloin on offense. Y'all lose your top two QBs, your leading rusher, and have to replace your entire OL IIRC. I say we have a pretty good chance of having as good of a season as the relatively "relevant" Wolverines.
We lose some great players on defense to the NFL, but since the B1G is a decade behind in terms of offense, its less likely that gets exploited than it would if we played in another conference. JMO.
Why should we have to go to class if we came here to play FOOTBALL, we ain't come to play SCHOOL, classes are POINTLESS
Us god-forsaken places gotta stick together.
You reinforce all the negative stereotypes that go along with an education from the state of Texas.
They should keep focusing on their big brother. Ya know, the team that dropped 60 on them again this season? That's more embarrassing IYAM.
It just makes me laugh. It feels like I am talking to one of those 3rd world countries that we give millions of dollars to only to have them burn our flag.
You should, he's a darn good QB, and he's going to your school.
He'd be my favorite if the roles were reversed TBH.
He's probably a 5* because he was head and shoulders the best QB at the HS All-Star game. The one where they watched a lot of other top 10 QBs throw.
Just a thought though.
Potential that word has got a of people fired.
So a bad or ok senior season is doesn't hurt your rankings but have a bad or ok All star game and you drop like crazy. See Max Browne and Shane Morris.
True. If Hackenberg were a Trojan commit, I'd probably be saying that he's the best.
They're both great QBs. I think we can all agree on that.
True... but how can you beat big brother without even being able to keep up with little bro? Actually, both little brothers are now beating them. Maybe if they had a QB....

ESPN had Hackenberg as the #1 QB in the Nation all year, so it's not like he came out of nowhere to claim the #1 QB title on 247. He's very legit.
LOL so know nobody can blitz and run man the whole game right.
They lost to WVU this season.....
I know he's good in camp setting and has potential.
When he played against the best competition in the country, he excelled. More so than any other QB there. That's probably why they gave him a 5* rating.
And actually, if you look at defenses in modern day CFB, very few run man much at all. I'd say 85% of defenses (at least) run zone schemes 65% of the time or more. Its too hard to find cover corners that can sustain man coverage all game.
Don't use such big numbers, he'll get confused.
He looked great on game-film, as well. He has a strong, accurate arm, going along with great footwork and mechanics.
Some people can't handle the truth.
Is he one of y'all's? I can't tell who this guy is a fan of. Maybe UM? That'd explain the anger or frustration.
We lose Denard and Roy Roundtree on offense, along with some interior OL.
Garnder will be back next year. Lewan is coming back, along with our RT Schofield and despite losing 3 starters the OL will be much more talented.
Our leading receiver Gallon is back, along with Dileo. And another year of development for Funchess and Darboh will be huge.
Plus our defense is going to be much better with Countess coming back, and the development of our younger guys like Ross, Bolden, Pipkins, Taylor, Wilson... etc.
The thing is.. we are going to be replacing guys that are leaving with top 5-10 recruiting classes. And while this upcoming class for you guys is great considering the circumstances, it's going to be nearly impossible to sustain.

I think just like OSU, you guys are two years away from being really, really good. Next year should be fine, but in 2014, you guys will be tough to handle.
They play man the whole game in all star games. So you made my point and what in that game did he do that was so special?
Did you watch Hack's senior film?
I think I've seen him post on the FightOn board, tbh.
