More than a gut. Remember I was the first to say VT. Was in my best interest not to switch.

Tim had every prospect right except Tony Conner, including Robert Foster last year. Just saying he is the best at what he does
Edt: he's good, not sure he's the "best". Best for bama i concur.

No I did not lose a sig bet, but I am really really really ridiculously good looking.
I was just commenting generally on someone at 247 doing that over time. It seems people would catch on fairly quickly. And the opposite is true. Steve Wiltfong (not a UM writer) has built up quite the early reputation on the UM board as a guy to follow. He's rarely wrong and doesn't seem to just go on hunches. Steve Wiltfong, Sam Webb and Tom VanHaaren probably are the three people the UM community follows most closely when it comes to recruiting predictions. And Steve Lorenz is pretty good too.
Maybe you can return the favor then...who is Steve Lorenz? Michigan mod?

Standing on a hill in my mountain of dreams,
Telling myself it's not as hard as it seems - Led Zeppelin
Michigan writer, one of the main guys on our board.
Ah my mistake.
Remembered the name after I asked. Preesh.
I'm gonna try to kiss JC if this happens IMO. Strong homo
Michigan writer. He used to run his own site (and was very good) so 247 went out and hired him. He doesn't blow smoke.
I'm sure JC appreciates the sentiment ... and really hopes it is just sentiment.
Nope. Things will get awkward IMO. lol
That's why I call Wiltfong #TheOracle -Tom, Sam and Steve L- all great.
Looks like Gerry has made a prediction to Bama as well. This could get interesting.

I knew you would come around and see things my way JC lol, j/k. Not really...
Interesting turn of events
Huh, my two cents. Hand seems to be intelligent enough to figure out that he is a better fit as a 4-3 DE as a 7 tech, then he is as a 3-4 OLB(god knows Bama isn't selling him as a 5 tech) Career wise, not a good move for Hand to go Bama. He projects much better as a hand in the dirt DE, then he would standing up.
Hand would most likely play DE for us. Lorenzo Carter will play on the other side at JACK. Xzavier Dickson was a 6'3" 235 pounds in high school and he will be playing DE for us this year. Ed Stinson was 6'4" 227 pounds in high school and has been starting at DE for two years now. Hand is 20 pounds bigger than they are ans is not even a Senior in high school yet. He will easily play at or around 275 pounds.
Dickson is no longer at JACK? So does that mean it's:
DE Pagan (or Dickson?)
Also, we play in a 4-3 nickel package about 70% of the time. A 3-4 is our base defense. But unless you are a UGA or LSU type team, you will probably see our nickel package most of the game.
He was behind Stinson at DE this Spring. That does not mean he could not see time at SAM in a 3-4 or at LB in a rabbit package. It also doesn't mean that Saban won't change his mind this Fall camp and put him at back at LB or even kicker. But I expect Devall to take his spot. From what I have read, he expects to stay at DE.
So, are you telling me Saban doesn't have his DE's lined up as true 5 techs when they are in a 3-4 front? If you guys are playing your base front with your DE in a 5 tech, then Bama isn't a good fit for him(Hand isn't a plug and engage defender, he is an edge rusher). Now if you guys are going nickel 70% of the time, and that is actually a true stat I would like to know where the substitutions are made. Are you guys pulling two backers in exchange for a DL and NB?
Btw, Stinson looks way heavier than 227. They had him bulk up a crap ton, I'd imagine he as at least 270 when I was watching him.
Wait how do you play a 4-3 nickel. Not possible, that means you have 4 DL, and 3 backers on the field only allowing for 4 DBs. Are you talking about a 4-2-5?
