Is there any genre of music that is more painful to listen to?
Poppy country stuff where they sing about tractors and trucks and good times with the boys down at the ol' fishin spot, and farming... can't remember the name of the guy, but someone posted one of the worst songs of all time in the country music thread recently... posted it as a joke.
But yeah, jam bands get annoying after a while.... it's more about the atmosphere of just hanging outside i guess, although I have never been to a show like that
They do always have the worst band names. Garbage like 'Heady Vegan Orchestra' or some sheet.
August Burns Red (or anything similar), Toby Keith, Tim McGraw, the list goes on and on....
I like bands that actually know how to play their instruments. And WTF is "Heady Vegan Orchestra"

I just don't see how anyone can enjoy a WSP song that lasts 32 minutes.
You obviously have no clue what you are talking about as the absolute longest Panic song is 15 minutes tops and usually covers two or more songs. Most are in the 5-8 min range
It's a made up band name, I thought that was obvious enough. Jam Bands tend to have bad band names that sound ridiculous. However there are a few bands that get lumped into being 'jam bands' that I don't think are, that I enjoy. Phish, Grateful Dead, Allman Brothers, Medeski Martin and Wood, are a few examples.
But write terrible music and are average singers at best?
Allman Brothers and Grateful Dead should never be used in the same paragraph as WSP.
WSP has made a fortune off of college kids spending their parents money going to concerts over and over again to hear the same awful songs every night. You have to tip your cap to them. They are capitalist hippies.
Jam bands seem to be a lot bigger in the south...
And Tim McGraw and Kenny Chesney made a boat load of cash off stupid rednecks. Talk about capitalists. Thats the most manufactured ish I've ever seen in my life.
Go pop in some of that white boy i hate my life crap and leave the good stuff to us
You seem upset. Probably been to what, 20 WSP shows? Amirite?
More than that. And it's rare that I don't hear a a song that I previously havent seen live.

Allman Brothers toured with Panic not too long ago
I say that I enjoy and listen to Phish, the Grateful Dead, Allman Brothers, etc. and you somehow interpret this as I like 'white boy I hate my life crap'? Can you read? And you seem awfully defensive of your musical preferences. If you like jam bands, that's cool. Others don't.
I'm not a fan of Jam Bands, but I could think of a lot of genres that are worse, including country, pop, and whatever you'd classify Soulja Boy as.
Clemson what is good music to you?
Jam Bands play the best live music, they aren't always great for studio albums but they pack a crowd out better than a lot of these super artist.... I for one am a huge Jam band fan... my favorite jam band is Umphrey's McGee...... and another thing jam bands tend to have much better musicians as in playing instruments
For some reason coming from Atlanta I never really heard of it, but when I went to school in Ttown I quickly learned that it's a huge genre for people my age. My roommates played it every morning before school. Now there's a few songs I think are alright, but the majority you need to be stoned/trippin to like. Bunch of random noises IMO
My apologies. I thought you were making fun of those bands names which miffed me pretty good, haha. I still stand by my hatred of white boy I hate life music.
I do like Allman Bros though
Should I know what or who WSP is?
Wide Spread Panic... took me a couple minutes to think about it
