Possibly the most scrutinized prospect in the 2013 draft pool, Jones ran the 40-yard dash in 4.92 seconds and leaped 30.5 inches in the vertical jump and 9 feet, 3 inches in the broad jump. He completed 20 repetitions of 225 pounds on the bench press -- a total that would have tied for 16th among linebackers at the combine.
Scored 4 touchdowns...in a single game. Polk High!
If he was from ND there would be 20 threads started already
3 time POTW, member since 2006, MLWTI: 4-3
Guy runs a slower 40 than Manti. But it goes unnoticed. Hmmmmm???
Doesn't work out at the combine and then completely craps out at his pro day which has been scheduled for months..but hey he played in the SEC so screw it
He wasn't that impressive in the bowl game against Nebraska when they got ran over for 3 quarters.
Or in the SEC CG against Bama either. That was the knock against Te'o, that & his 40 was underwhelming & he is secretly gay & conspired with a deranged girly man to win the Heisman.
Yeah and Im sure there is other stuff someone will add...
Surely. Like you said, if it was an ND player there would be 20 or so bash threads for ND haters to rejoice in. So what if a guy everyone swore was so much better ran an even slower 40 time, lets just ignore that & pretend it goes away.
For real. This chit just amazes me.
Anything on JJ numbers?
Jarvis is a great player, bottom line. Thought he had a injury, hamstring?
"Here are provided seats of meditative joy, where shall rise again the destined reign of Troy." Virgil
So he gets a pass? Te'o does not. Right?
Don't put words in my mouth young man, I never said that..I AM on record stating that was a sad loss when he picked ND over USC..more so than DAT.
We also regret that our MDs would not clear Jarvis to play at USC.

My bad. Forgive me, my lady. But Te'o was bashed on here for his 40 time & now a guy who all swore was head & shoulders better runs an even slower 40 gets a mulligan.
You ND guys are hilarious! Nobody has given a damn about your team in 10 years. You get picked on this year b/c you got extremely hyped, then got your doors blown off in the championship. Your star player was super hyped and then sucked in the big game, sucked in the combine, and really sucked at life(fake life).
Seriously, 5 teams came closer to beating Bama than you did, and you had 50 days to prepare.
I just don't see all the "ND Haters" you guys like to point out. More of a case of your best player being a joke, and your NC performance being pathetic.
If you want the ultimate, you've got to be willing to pay the ultimate price. It's not tragic to die doing what you love.
No this board didn't bash Te'o they chitted all over him (me included) he doesn't have SEC speed, I guess JJ doesn't have SEC speed
I never got involved in that bashing of Te'o, never, not even on my own board. I made it a point to scroll through all the idiotic posts on the subject. I understand the young man's culture and how he was raised..and the protected environment at Notre Dame.
Forget about the fools, but no one dare to place me in that category!
Both are great players, what counts is the performance on the field, and not focus on the few games a player "disappears"
Well, he did pretty well against your squad. Seeing as though we wrecked you the last two times we've met, you pretty much have no dog in this fight.
Kind of a scary thought that both Te'o & JJ could have both been Trojans.
^^ douche post ^^
Any comments on the OP?
