That's not the point.... 4 BCSNC rings > 0 SB rings.

Never argued that to date, Saban has accomplished more than Harbaugh. Saying that currently Harbaugh is the better football coach
Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken
I wouldn't go that far, but he did get Alex Smith up to par. No one got as much out of him like Harbaugh did. I honestly think Harbaugh is the better Pro coach, but no one is touching what Saban is doing in college.
Please. Luck is money. But Harbaugh is a great, great QB coach. Look at what he did for a complete stiff like Alex Smith in one offseason. Look at the level he already has Kaepernick. Dude can flat out coach.
I was only slightly kidding about Driskel. Give that kid Harbaugh and he's in the same convo as Johnny Foosball. Guaranteed.
Yeah that was what I was driving at.
Saban is a defensive god. Add his recruiting acumen and his location and he's virtually unstoppable. In college. But better pro coach = better coach IMO. Especially considering Harbaugh had huge success on the college level with inferior teams. Bama with Harbaugh wouldn't skip a beat.
That's your basis for Harbaugh > Saban?
LOL. What a child you are.
With talent being equal Harbaugh easily coaching ability ... With recruiting and possible cheating in college football, Saban ...
How is that a bad assessment? Great coaches are made off of super bowls and playoff runs ...
No great coaches are measured by championships not playoff runs. Harbaugh has some work to do before the 49er's build a statue of him.
How do you think Harbaugh would do if he took the reigns at Bama? This is the only question I think that matters.
We would do well with the wealth of talent CNS has brought in. 3 nattys over the last 4 years would be hard for any coach to top.
3/4 would be tough to match, but there's also a lot of luck involved with winning NCs. IMO there wouldn't be any drop off, not in coaching and not in recruiting. Why I think Harbaugh is arguably the better coach. He's proved it in the NFL already. Saban did not.
That said if the 49ers lose to Atlanta Harbaugh sucks.
my basis is watching them both coach. It is telling that it is really only southener's who think Saban is better. That should tell you something.
Harbaugh is going to punk slap atlanta.
How would Saban do if he took over the Niners next year?
The only other question that matters.
Not as well. QB is king. Esp in the NFL. The coach that can wring the most out of a QB is superior.
Such a stupid thread since it's strictly opinion.
Stanford had a lot of talent. I really don't get why people are calling it inferior talent.
It's college football. Everything's opinion.
Because the majority of haters ITT are PAC 12 guys. Dumb thread. Saban and the SEC are the mountain top, so someone has to come up with something to downplay it.
Crystal football say's different.
Not Saban's talent. Not even close. And he took a relative doormat and made them a national power. Right now Shaw is making his living off Harbaugh's system and most of his players.
Yeah I didn't notice until now, lol.
I don't know anything about those, regrettably.
I have a feeling Oregon will get one if Chip stay's around. See to me, what Chip has done at Oregon is way more impressive than anything Harbaugh did at Stanford.
