I have never ate at Jimmy Johns. How does it compare to Fire House and should I eat there today. Any recommendations on Subs?
I like Quiznos, Firehouse, and Subway a lot better than Jimmy Johns.....The only thing Jimmy Johns has going for it is that they are fast as hell if you need a sub in 4.7 seconds.
I was going to put a witty joke here, but I forgot bama fans still use picture books. So I thought I'd expedite the process for you...
Firehouse and Big John's blow JJ's out of the water
I've never been a fan of Jimmy John's. Much prefer Quizno's and Firehouse (just went there a week or so ago for the first time, really liked it).
JMO, but unless I have to, I'm never returning to Subway. So many other better places to go.
EDIT: JJ's advertises being fast, but my wife and her co-worker ordered it once and it took 45 minutes (they worked about 5 minutes away from the restaurant). That's the only experience I know about with JJ delivery. They were reasonably fast in person.

You guys need to try the club with pepperoni and monterey cheddar added on italian herbs and cheese bread from Subway...Sooo good... Same sandwich I get everytime I go. add a little salt and pepper, oregano, and parmesean cheese and jalepenos and it's good to go after you toast it.
Seriously, try it...It's amazing.
You know if your hungry for a sub, that's one huge difference than the rest. JJ'x bread Is bomb diggity
This. Sandwiches are solid for what they are, but the bread makes 'em.
I have quite a few local options at my disposal so I don't go to the run-of-the-mill sandwich places all that often, unless I I just want something that's fast and cheap. (har har)
Time and change will surely (truly) show
How firm thy friendship ... OHIO!
I prefer Subway or Quiznos as well. Jimmy Johns doesn't have steak or chicken which bugs me.
Only good thing is they deliver until pretty late.
not sure about jimmy johns but firehouse Steak and cheese is the GOAT
gargantuan, no mayo, no onions, add spicy mustard, add peps. gold.
I disliked Jimmy Johns since they are the only sub joint who does not toast there bread
Thanks for the save. Ive been leery of eating there. Pork and Slaw sammich from FireHouse seems to be on tap today.
Sometimes I prefer cold subs, depends on my mood. My favorite national place for cold subs is probably Jersey Mike's.

Ive heard of it, but havent seen one in my area yet.
Richmond is as far north I've seen them
JJ's subs just lack flavor to me. Firehouse and Quiznos stomp JJ in the dirt.
But for some reason, in Tuscaloosa, everyone just raves about JJ. I'm guessing it has more to do with the fact that they're open late and less about the quality.
Jimmy Johns subs are pretty basic
don't campare at all to Firehouse Subway or (for those who live in the south) Publix subs
If you've had a slow delivery experience with JJ that's definitely not the norm. I used to get subs delivered to me across town in Tuscaloosa in 7 minutes or less. Best part was, if you we're at a party drunk and someone ordered JJ, you could tip the driver and they'd take you home or to your car or hell to another party. True story.
Dude they are amazing if you have never had one. They are about 1100 calories though.
Get a sub with capicola. Way good for the price
In memory of Tusks.
i have never heard of firehouse. Are they all over the place?
Urban 2 Hoke 0
They just put one in Indiana about a year ago. Just got around to trying it and it's quite good.
I don't travel much (mainly OH, PA, NY, MI), but I've never heard of one before the one here in Indiana.
I thought it was national
I have eaten at Firehouse plenty, but never had their Philly. I love Phillys, but am particular about them. Is it life changing or just ok? Also anyone ever had the Brisket and Cheddar sub?
I just looked them up. Looks like one will be opening soon by me. I will give them a try.
Never had Firehouse. We just got a new one near my hometown I wanna check out, but going outside of Primo's is tough for me.
I prefer Subway, Quiznos and Jersey Mikes all to Jimmy John's. Worst chain IMO.
