Wasn't the trademark battle over hats that had "SC" on them? It wasn't over "USC". Stoopid Trojans don't even know their own trademark.
So USC= South Carolina and
SC= Southern California.
thanks! I'm retired..love to read, and I'm more interested in facts than ignorant trash talking.
Don't tell anyone, but I loved the state of South Carolina, lol. Love the South too....

Oh, we know all about the trademark SC...the university jumped on that early in her history to protect a very lucrative merchandising brand. The logo merchandising is not reported in the athletic budget like most universities...and it is lucrative enough that the school fought tooth and nail over it.
Southern California was founded as a university, and remained open and functioned as a university from it's founding till today, never been anything else other than USC. If you add the years involved, Southern California has been USC continuously, and longer than So Car.

It will be our little secret!
If you want the ultimate, you've got to be willing to pay the ultimate price. It's not tragic to die doing what you love.
Yeah I never quite understood that trademark battle. Who cares if both schools put the same letters? Not to mention we lost the lawsuit, but The baseball team still wears the interlocking SC Logo, And they still sell merchandise with it. So I'm not really sure what the lawsuit actually did. Either way the argument is stupid. If you're in the south, specifically the SEC most people call USC South Carolina. If you're from anywhere else USC is Southern Cal. They have more name recognition throughout the country by far, and I have no problem admitting that.

But the trademark is "SC", correct? Yeah, I think so. Aren't y'all arguing over a trademark of "USC" that doesn't exist? I can't find those 3 letters trademarked anywhere. Thanks in advance if you can point me to that registered trademark.
Wait until she shares that she has family in Tennessee (the good variety )
We were just arguing over which was founded first As USC. Looks like South Carolina was first, but Southern Cal has a longer run by a couple years. Never heard anyone discuss a USC trademark, Although I'm surprised it hasn't come up
Wait, they have those?
This is what I was referring to Stouds. So th " and we won the SC trademark battle has no weight in this argument. South Carolina is USC. South Cacky had it first.

The argument was never about a "trademark" USC, just a debate of which school was USC longer. The SC debate was about trademark.
Was that clear?
Haha..the Vanderbilt kind.
I had traveled in the South before, but my SIL and daughter have taken me all over the region since their marriage 9 years ago.
Here's something that will totally shock you...I've been well received because I've shown interest and respect for the culture.
So who had it first and longer so I don't have to reread that crap?
I concede to Mr. Strouds that South Carolina had "USC" first..but Southern California had it for a longer (in years), continuous time.
*Sorry Strouds, posted before reading yours.
So it's acceptable that both USC's can be referred to as "USC". Damn it. I love social progress.
Rather stick that bullet up your ass as you watch me tickle your wifeys titties
Go ahead and pretend you know me, and lolz at you getting super upset over a joke night I had on here last night
Ain't nobody looking for credit
Im more ashamed of my service than proud of it, biggest waste of 8 years ever
fsufsu said... I've got about 10 great stories on Lane but all you need to know is he will never be a loser, that's for sure.
Anything is acceptable if one wishes. Your post is simplistic, at best.
Of course, but the USCw fans are the gayest dudes on here
They actually get super excited about recruiting and 18 year old kids, only a matter of time before one of them has sex with all those 8th graders they keep offering
lolz check out Seau's funeral
Rumors are the open casket was taken a bit literally by a newbie at the funeral service and when they all saw his cock they started balling due to humiliation

But arguing over which University can use "USC" on a message board is.......not simplistic?
of course not stache
I have nothing to do with FSU. He shouldn't be released because he signed a binding document to play for Florida St. after years of deciding where to play college football. If he didn't want to go there, he shouldn't have signed.
Alex Collins' mother went all nuts when he wanted to go to Arkansas, but he still did it. Thomas made a choice, and now he has to deal with the consequences. Sit out the year, and just be done with it.
This sums it up.
I hated my six years, but I was smart enough to make sure that it did something for me after the military. Are you bitter because were too dumb to give yourself the option?
If you are ashamed of your service and you're not looking for credit, then why do you even bring it up?
I have no reason to be upset. I have a great life. I just wanted to point out to everyone how pathetic your life seems to be. It's fun to me. Every time you throw one of your little hissy-fits, you accuse someone else of being "super upset".
Yup, its really simple to understand
Only USCw fans care, the rest of us are looking forward to fall camp
Not what Matt Thomas does or doesn't do, but can you blame USCw ? I mean, they are gonna really suck this season
