Guys enough please. This about the Eagles. DREAM TEAM SUPER BOWLZ!!!
If Kirby wants to give a crack at the NFL as a DC and makes more money then good for him. If he is trying to get his name out there for as many interviews as he can to keep his name hot, good for him. This would not be a lateral move for a coordinator. If he can get the DC position in Philly then god bless him. They have talent on the defense.
Maybe he needs to step away from Saban to prove that he can do it on his own. He's not going to be our DC forever unless him and Saban have something worked out with Moore that we just don't know about, and I seriously doubt that we do. I think Saban is thinking about 68-70 to retire. Smart isn't going to be our DC that long.
Let him get some experience anyway. There is nothing saying that when Saban retires, even if he isn't coordinating for us then, that we wouldn't go calling for him when it happens. I would like to see the guy do some head coaching eventually if we plan on hiring him in the future anyway.
Kirby isnt going to Philly....
it should be more than evident to all that he's going to Cleveland with Nick.
Dude, take a deep breath and step away from the keyboard. If it makes you feel better, I didn't like Rodney Garner either.
It's pretty damn hilarious that an Alabama fan is calling a Georgia fan a stupid hick homer.
Also, Kelly, since you know the MFer personally, tell Kirby that Georgia Boy said "duh huh"..............he'll know what you mean.
So you're saying a NFL team would hire a college coach with no NFL experience as their HC, but not for a DC? Makes sense.

Nobody on a board has a clue. Saban replaced Pruitt with a veteran NFL secondary coach. The trend has been a young up and comer. Sal flopped badly at UT, and it wasn't only because of the players. Lance doesn't seem highly likely, but you never know. He's an ace recruiter, but I remember people knocking his coaching ability compared to Sunseri. But its been a couple years, and Saban might feel differently. But I'm leaning towards an unknown guy. I think if you hear about another behind the scences guy getting a promotion to a position coaching job, then that's the guy.
So basically, not a damn clue.
This guy must be the spitting image of the Bama fan Spencer Hall does in Shutdown Fullback. $50 says he lives in North/Central Alabama.
And yeah, Dawg fans can get bitchy occasionally, but I usually get along great with them outside of message boards. We can always agree on the fact that Auburn sucks.
