If he is so bad then why did JT keep him on for so long?

Excellent post Mr. Woodson. Wow, can't believe I just typed that. But troof is troof.
I am a Buckeye...proof there is a God in Heaven who loves me.
Bowelman proved that he can take some top shelf talent and turn them into average OL...
He took the "Block O" and it made it the "Block so-so"

Jim Tressel called the plays....Bollman called played during our 6-7 season.
Remember that shithole game when you beat us like 7-6
Because the kids liked him and Tress could supplement for his shortcomings. We (OSU fans) have hated The Walrus for a long LONG time and couldn't wait for him to be fired. One problem with that...Tress doesn't (didn't) fire anyone.
loyalty to a fault...
So you are saying JT, during the prime of his career when OSU was winning a National Title, BCS Bowls and B1G Titles left and right, kept the dead weight of an OC just because he didn't want to fire anyone and because the kids liked him?
He started Joe Bauserman over Braxton Miller....nuff said
This.... also He kept scilliano around for way too long as well
You will have to ask JT that question. The Vest was clearly the offensive mind on that staff. Whatever Bollman's role was, the Vest was in charge of the offense and he largely left the defense up to Heacock.
So you're saying he just got to hang out earn a good salary for 10 years and did little work?.

as a true frosh who was more fitted for a spread O..
Do you really blame him for not starting him the first couple of games?
Well then damn, Bollman had a sweet gig then.. got to be the title only OC of a NT team, dominate UM, win B1G Titles left and right all while not really doing anything and making bank..
I wish I could find a job like that! Make good money and do no work.
What was his record vs MIchigan?
You ever stop and think that maybe the HC knows more about the staff than folks on message boards?
Got a bunch of B1G championship rings, a NC ring, like ten gold pants pins.... Im sure it will inspire the players to see his ring collection, not that they should expect to get any of their own though
BTW those titles were courtousy of Hazell, Tressel, Dantonio, Haynes and the like. The Walrus gets very little credit IMO. Did you see the O-line play during that time? Pryor running for his life and having to burn his red shirt because the O-line blew?
You can say the same about a lot of coordinators. Dan Mullen at UF. Kirby Smart at Bama. Whoever Pete Carroll's DC's were when he was at USC (I can't even tell you their names). It happens all the time. I guarantee you that Gary Patterson runs the D at TCU and Chris Petersen runs the O at BSU. And Chip Kelly ran the O at Oregon. No one ever heard of Helfrich's name until Kelly started interviewing for NFL jobs.
you butthurt still over big loss after running your mouth about the sweep in bball?
Steve- Dantonio just made the worst hire I have seen in a long time.
No need to do that, we saw action every saturday from the results of Bolls.... you will catch on SS. Probably have a similar reaction to Rick Flair in your sig pic.... that "yeah, we're funked"
yes, it was....tressel covered his ass.
