Lots and lots of "dave"!
Michigan was 1-0 when Bollman was running the ship on offense.
Also coaching at tOSU, and coaching at MSU are a different animal all together. Let's not act like success at tOSU assures anything at any other midwest program, especially one that isn't exactly of the top of the totem pole like MSU.
There is a reason Meyer didn't hire him, there is a reason BC didn't retain him, and there is a reason Purdue only hired him as a OL coach. Also he has said himself he doesn't like recruiting.
He was at OSU for 10 years and you come up with 1-0?
Nice job fudging the numbers in your favor.
I have no idea if he is going to be good or not.. and it's still not confirmed by MSU..
However, I find it hard to believe JT kept him around just because the kids liked him for his dominant run in the 2000s.. Clearly he was doing something right..
Find it yourself, I'm just regurgitating info I heard from tOSU fans.
He's a sh!t recruiter regardless if he likes it or not.
He called plays for 1 year, I specifically stipulated when he was calling plays.
Tough break on the hire Steve, going to be tough to hype and pump this one.
Here you guys were 12 months ago convinced Dantonio had changed the status of the MSU football program. 1 6-6 season, and Jim Bollman was all it took to convince everyone except the sunshine blowers it was in fact same old Sparty.
Right so when half of their friggin offense was suspended for the year, and their star QB was ousted you guys went 1-0.
That's totally Bollman's fault.
The same reason why roushar was your OC for so long. In response to all the comments about why he was on the staff for so long. Loyalty.

I'm pretty sure every single one of the guys who was suspended was back in plenty of time for the Michigan game.
Roushar 2 years at OC and then adios. I don't think there's a comparrison, Bollman had 10 years.

Those guys were only suspended for the first half the season...
I never said Izzo was too old and washed up. I said his best days are behind him ... and they are unquestionably. And I didn't tuck tail and run from anything. I came over to that thread the day after the game and several days after that and it was all one big Sparty trollfest. We lost a basketball game. We lost to a ranked team on the road in a hostile environment. For similar examples, see IU @ Minny and UF @ UT just last night. If you want to act like that loss significantly changes what a great season we're having, be my guest. It doesn't. It was a minor setback. TBH the Wisky loss was tougher because of how it happened. We deserved to win that one.

Doesnt matter really now does it, we "dominated you and big brother for quite some time, the sad story for both of your programs is that we had one down year and are back even stronger. You officially are locked into the lower half of the B1G for the forseeable future with this move.
congrats on one win in 10 years, you guys still hanging onto that makes you look like a desperate program.
You guys fully hyped and pumped your great win in the Shoe at the time. Are you suggesting it wasn't that impressive an accomplishment after all?
Finally something me and the dreaded scumDominator can both agree upon.
Two wins in ten years...get it right.
And congrats on the one you are going to win over the next ten.
Why so defensive?
In what way?
All I know is after reading this thread if Bollman was good enough to dominate Michigan for a decade sign me up.
Let's not get this thread off topic guys.
Focusing on the fact MSU hired Jim Bollman is all the entertainment we need.
