Better than 5th in the Big12. And I agree with you that Mack didn't offer lol
You are right, of course you hardly finished there either so make it what you will.
You mean another top 5 finish in the nation.
My biggest concern with Hampton is that hell turn into another Demarco Cobbs. Undersized at LB, too big for a safety and certianly not enough speed as a db either.
XoGisele, Ashley Sky, Niki Skyler
Which would your 2nd in the last 50+ years.
You serious Bro, ND had a top 5 class last year and will more than likely be in the top 5 again or top ten at least. Michigan as well, and if you want to talk about trends, Texas trending down ,ND and Michigan UP. Count on it
You won't be top 5 and you won't finish ahead of Texas so just stop. We won't finish #1 but we're there right now and lead for 7 or 8 more 4 stars on top of the 9 we already have. You're not going to the NC again so congrats on your one top 5 class.
Dude Texas is no position to talk right now. No one cares about Colt McCoy, and Vince Young isn't walking through that door again.
Congrats on being a program on the decline right now.
Texas WAS a program in decline. They've improved their record in each of the last 3 years. They're actually a program on the rise.
Mack Brown definitely seems like a coach on the rise.
Nothing to do but laugh at delusion like that.
Nice defence you had last year.
Texas barely had a top 25 class last year, Michigan was top 5.
Unless Mack Brown gets his shit together, he won't be pulling in all that talent.
Some analysts think we lead for Hand, same for Peppers and JuJu Smith. Not to mention Drake Harris and Malik Mcdowell.
Any of those 5 are better than any recruit Texas has or will get.
Smh... Vandy had a better class than Texas last year.
Just let that sink in.
and where was Michigan ranked last year with their SR all world QB? Behind Vanderbilt you don't say.

Can you read? Vany was 31 and 26; Texas was 21 and 17. We also only took a class of 15 last year, combine that with not as good year in state and getting ass raped by your biggest rival and you probably won't do well in the rankings. If you look at star average we were 7th, still comfortably inside the top 10 despite our worst recruiting year in decades.
This year the talent in the '14 class is much better, and when you combine that with just a 1 or 2 win increase just based on defensive regression to the mean and many B12 teams in transition, and that we're talking a full class instead of a small one and we're going to be comfortably inside the top 10 again and challenge for a top 5 spot in the rankings.
Hoke is doing some nice work on the trail which is nice to see, since I actually like UM and I get tired of seeing tOSU roll you guys every year. If you guys actually pull Hand, Peppers and Smith out of Virginia, NJ, and Cali I'll be impressed. However, if you honestly think that Texas is just going to continue to get beat on the recruiting trail and finish where we did last year in the rankings is laughable.
They also had a much easier schedule. Your point?

Popular opinion is that Rivals is the best service, so that is the one I use when discussing rankings. Vandy was definitely ahead of Texas.
I do think Texas will get a good class. They always will, and I definitely do not think they'll continue to get beat on the recruiting trail constantly. Although, to say "lulz, Texas will have a better class than Michigan and ND" is flat out dumb considering Michigan and ND are on the upswing while Texas has done poorly by their standards the past couple years.
Honestly, I don't think we get Hand or Juju when it's all said and done. I really do think we pull in Harris, Mcdowell, and Peppers though.

Doesn't really matter what players Texas gets they'll continue to underachieve with them
Why are you on 247 then? At least site the composite rankings if you dont like 247's, which we we're still 10 spots better than them in.
Should I have laughed at you and ND, probably not atleast when looking at last year, over the past 10 years ya I can; after Bama, UF, LSU, OSU it will be some combination of Texas, UM, FSU, A&M, ND, UGA rounding out the top 10 so good luck I guess.
There are plenty of people on this forum that use different sites rankings. 247 has the best message board, but do not have the best rankings. I do believe over the next 3 or 4 years 247 will be looked at as having very good rankings, but they are still kind of unproven.
I love how this is brought up by the guy who pulls for the most underachieving program in history with access to Texas recruiting base. You guys are right down the road and recruiting the same kids yet HAVE NOT WON JACK SHIT IN ABOUT 800 DECADES.
This coming from a Michigan fan! Talk about delusion!
And we are getting the #1 and #2 player from the state of Texas.
Ed Paris and Tony Brown.. Lulz at Texas and their pompous program
Danielle Hunter, Jamario Rasco, Anthony FREAK Johnson.. DL wrecking crew of 2013.
Brown isn't going to LSU... new developments.
A&M gets the #1 player in Texas Garret and likely the #2 in Brown...
Lol one is from Louisiana, the others entire family has LSU ties. Congrats on bunting in the run from 3rd.
FWIW, Jamal Adams >>>> both.
