I don't like the Lakers as much as the next guy but y'all are nuts. Gasol is a beast and one if the most skilled 7 ft big man in the NBA. They're simple not using him correctly. You bet your ass if Gasol goes to another team, he'll light it up. I feel bad for him but he's truly one of the best offensive bigs in the NBA and its ashame how D'antoni and Kobe use and treat him. Gasol is legit.
Danielle Hunter, Jamario Rasco, Anthony FREAK Johnson.. DL wrecking crew of 2013.
Their whole game plan is terrible. Trying to outrun everyone with the oldest starting lineup in the league. They have an enormous advantage in the post and should be posting up Gasol and Dwight all the time. Dantoni needs to adjust his plan to the players he has. If they get it figured out... look out everyone they could be as good as advertised.
Until then, Im gonna LOL at the Lakers.
Lakers blow. That's all.
Kobe needs more box scores like tonight. 10/28 30 points doesn't help the team near as much as him getting near double digit assists like tonight.
The biggest issue, to me, for the Lakers is their bench. One of the absolute worst benches in the league. Whoever built this team royally effed up. One of the oldest lineups in the NBA and your bench can't even let the starters rest bc they have no chance against anyone. You MUST have at least a solid bench to have your starters rested for the playoffs. Just a very poor built team. It's absurd they didn't put any emphasis on their bench. OKC, Clippers, Spurs, Knicks and most of the top teams have a very good bench. I don't see a Jamal Crawford, Kevin Martin, Manu Ginobili, JR Smith type on the LAL bench.
Their biggest issue is their HC. You make a good point, but Dantoni should have never been hired to coach this team.
Looks like the lakers and celtics might miss the playoffs this year if they coutinue playing like they are.
D'Antoni is just a terrible coach.
I could get behind that, especially the Celtics missing the playoffs.
A big phuck you to Rondo, KG, and Pierce. Especially Rondo and KG.
Celtics will make it. Up 3 games right now, and they turn it on whenever they want. They'll be alright. I'd hate for the Heat to have to play them in round 1.
Am I the only person that thinks that Rondo is the best PG in the NBA right now?
He is constantly pulling damn near triple doubles everytime that I look at the stats. I know he's not the greatest shooter in the world, well that is a little bit of an understatement, but I would argue that his overall stats match up if doesn't surpass any other PG's out there.
Not to mention that he's the best defending PG out there.
Stats don't tell the whole story.
CP3 is much better than Rondo and it isn't close.
Among other things, CP3 blows Rondo out of the water on things that don't show up on the stat sheet.
CP3 is a good leader, not a hot head cocky whiner like Rondo. CP3 is one of the best players in the league late in games, Rondo can't be trusted because he is 1 dimensional on offense.
CP3 is the best. The fact that Rondo is so one dimensional offensively and can't shoot really hurts his game.
Point guards I would take ahead of Rondo:
healthy Derrick Rose
and Holiday is close.
Old ass Tony Parker? GTFO! You must be a Spurs fan.

Kyrie Irving will be the best pg in the nba in a year or 2.. Dude is absolutely incredible
6ers are 2.5 games back and get Bynum back in 2 weeks. Don't count 'em out.
You forgot Deron Williams who is one the best defensive point guards and is a pretty good shooter
If he can stay healthy.
He's missed significant time from each of his seasons since HS.
True.. Rose and CP3 are always hurt too.
So many good PGs so we're splitting hairs here. Holiday has been on another level this season too.
Tony Parker is a fantastic pg, he just doesn't get the hype because no one talks about the Spurs at all. And no I'm a Thunder and Pistons fan.

He hasn't played like it the last year and a half. He's starting to get it back now, and if he gets back to how he was playing in Utah, then no question.
Deron "coach killer" Williams
