Harden goes 3-19, Houston shoots 38% to the Lakers 46% and the Lakers still lose...
Lakers pooped their big boy pants
Lakers dilemma. Which would you prefer?
A) Trade Howard to the Clippers for Griffin, Bledsoe, and some other pieces perhaps?
B) Let Howard walk and to go play with CP3 either in Houston, Dallas, or ATL and get absolutely nothing in return?
C) Cyanide pill?
Chris Paul and Dwight Howard have been in consistent contact recently about the possibility of becoming teammates next season, according to league sources.

Out of those choices A, but Howard and CP3 both will be staying put.
Well see what kupcheck does. I believe he's done a.good job over the yrs. He'll pull something outta his butt

I wouldn't mind Bledsoe, but don't really want Griffin. Basically I would want cap flexibility for the potentially big 2014 free agent class and would hope the Lakers chase 2 marquee free agents then and leave some room to build around with quality depth and a good bench. So for me I say let Howard walk. He isn't worth a max contract IMO.
Edit: link for the free agent possibilities in 2014
The following lists the 2014 free-agent class by position, followed by their 2013-14 salary. A free agent becomes be restricted when their team issues a

I haven't seen much from Bledsoe over the years. Is he a true PG, or more of a small 2 or combo guard?
Cap room would be good, especially if KB retires (which he won't). Won't matter much if Antoni is still our coach though.
I feel like he is a combo guard. He is a player that seems destined to do much better once he is able to grab more minutes (don't think it will quite be how well James Harden did once he grabbed the starting role but should be a good improvement).
Kobe won't retire, but just the fact that even if you offered him a max contract it wouldn't come near the contract he has now in terms of cap hit.
And yea, if Antoni is still the coach, none of this matters. I liked it best how Magic put it on ESPNLA radio this week (roughly paraphrasing), this finals matchup proves you have to play defense in this league to succeed. You can't rely on outscoring someone night in and night out. You can even expand to the conference finals and you add two great defensive teams in Indiana and Memphis.
Kobe should retire. He sucks.
Amnesty so LBJ has a clear path... ill save seats for Bama Shack and mrider on the bandwagon...
I am one of the fans (and probably in the minority here) that wouldn't mind seeing Kobe amnestied and Dwight signed and traded for some young role players / draft picks and leaving us open for 2014. This team is way too far off to contend next year.
I thought Kobe's contract comes completely off the books in 2014 (assuming he's not extended or re-signs before then). I'd rather amnesty someone else (looking at you MWP) and figure out who to unload Pau's ungodly contract to.

O yea it does. For some reason I thought the NBA was like baseball with the repeat offender tax and wanted the Lakers to duck under it next year so they wouldn't be afraid to pony up money in 2014.
You are right. The amnesty would be better used on MWP.
Also I wouldn't be opposed to trading Pau as well. He won't be part of the next winning team as he keeps getting older and Antoni has no idea what to do with him so why keep him around (tbh I think he would be way better offensively for Chris Paul than Blake Griffin is)
After watching them win for 15 years I'm SO happy Lakers are finally on the downslide. Everybody gets sick of one team winning.
Can it be next to yours?
I follow a team bruh, not a player! Its fine if you do it your way though..
To be fair though, he has to watch the Raptors. I'd consider following a player instead if I were in that position, especially since Brian Colangelo is running things...
Im not mad at him.. its the Domers who are bothered and a Dawg....I dont blame him... although I am surprised he'd follow another team featuring Boshifloptor....
just checking in to see how the quest was going?
Lol...you remind me of the people I work with. No one said shit the entire Finals...the day after they won I had 40-45 emails from chest thumpers and all of a sudden they felt like commenting on FB.
I was here saying shit almost every day in the playoffs. Even down 3-2 to the spurs I was here.
And I've talked shit about the Lakers every day as well. Check all your preseason hype threads from the fall.
The Lakers have lost their appeal. Well. I guess its fair to say Miami stole it. No one wants to play with Kobe either.
MWP has been amnestied.
The Los Angeles Lakers released Metta World Peace via the amnesty clause on Thursday night.
