FSU Ambassador to the masses
Heartbroken to see Lattimore go down like that. Probably the most influential player to ever suit up in a Gamecock uniform! Marcus has a bright future even if he never makes it back on the field. Dude is a general and great role model
I'm with Spurrier...Mr. Lattimore will be very sucsessful in whatever he does, regardless of his football future...I'm a Vol fan and its heart breaking
He didn't lie, he just used medical terminology and there are translation issues.
[notadoctor]A knee dislocation (NOT a kneecap dislocation) is exactly what you'd think - the tibia/fibia are moved in relation to the femur. In order for this to happen, you have to tear the connective tissue (ligaments) that holds the tibia/fibia and femur together. Therefore, if a doctor says your knee is dislocated, the ligament damage is implied.
I will guarantee he has at least 1 ligament tear in his knee based on the prognosis of knee dislocation. For football purposes, a torn MCL is worlds different than a torn ACL, but based on the severe rotation of his lower leg, I'm not going out on a limb too far when I say I'm willing to bet his ACL and PCL are torn. My gut feeling is 18 months recovery.[/notadoctor]
Hope this helps and I obviously hope my gut feeling is wrong.
wish the young man well and a quick recovery
The doctor did say that there was ligament damage. Anyone can assume that means torn ligaments in his knee, he just didn't specify which ligaments. Could be one and could be four.
That guy thinks he is a Dr....lol
