What I learned in this thread.... Earl Morrall might be one of the greatest QBs ever.
I don't even get downvotes you moron. So how can I downvote you? Wrong again. You are on fire in this thread. God you are an idiot. You are going on ignore. Too much stupidity
MOTHER. OF. GOD. Did you even read the thread? I said the best College QB. Not the one who projects the best at the next level. You fail again.
McCarron has legs? Excuse me for forgetting his 2 rushing TD's against the powerhouse teams of Vandy and Tenn. true dual-threat.
Go Blue & Gig Em'!
So was the TD to Norwood in the back of the endzone the play before if Norwood had not fallen down.
AJ is top 35-40, borderline.
Earl Morrall won three rings. He was a backup for part of his career but did start 9 games for one of the years they won. He owns Marino, Peyton, Moon, Jim Kelley,
Jim Plunkett's 2 rings crap on Marino, Moon, and Jim Kelley.
Well both of them have more wins then McCarron, so they're clearly the better college QB. Am I doing this right?
Yeah, this place sure wasn't wjat I thought it was. That was my mistake. I will not make that one again.
No worries. You are forgiven.
Of course I am. But this place basically sucks now. I'm out for a while
Angry Bama fans down voting me.
It's early in the week, but you're on pace for Best Troll of the Week. So many takers in this one. Must be satisfying?
Keep it going ... buncha dumbasses actually arguing with you on this one.
Also, you may notice a few pages back ... whenever I get on here and ask NoVa to call me, he disappears. About the 3rd time it's happened.
Why's he supposed to call you?
I just want to talk to him ... tell him things will be OK. Just want to be there for him, man-to-man. Seems weird ...?
Not supporting or defending this argument either way....but wins do not equal championships.
No, not at all

This thread had great potential but Weedline wimped out and Nova stopped posting in it.
We know, he isn't even close to being one of the best college QB's
Ken Dorsey won a ton of games too, nobody thinks or thought he was the best of all time
Now enjoy your so called break from the board you little crybaby
fsufsu said... I've got about 10 great stories on Lane but all you need to know is he will never be a loser, that's for sure.
wtf are you talking about ? Call you ? maybe if I understood your retarded Bama dialogue I could follow what the hell you were talking about and respond accordingly
Till that day I guess
I'm actually a big AJ hater (you can look at my post history if you really don't believe me) so I think I can offer a more objective perspective than other Alabama fans who love the guy.
I think most Alabama fans overrate McCarron constantly. I don't think he'll be extraordinarily successful on the next level. I also don't think that having a ton of rings makes you GOAT. He's not Cam Newton or Tebow in terms of pulling the team through a whole season (not willing to put Manziel there yet because of his stats against LSU and UF). But look at Greg McElroy. He actually had an undefeated season with a less talented team against better competition than either of AJs title teams. However, no one argues that he's one of the greatest. The reason why you can make that argument about McCarron is because if you watch the biggest games - he changed them when it counted. McElroy had his one game against UF. AJ has had numerous games like that on the biggest stages. He was MVP against LSU for a reason. They focused on our running game and AJ tore it up against a secondary that produced several draft picks. That was an all time great defense. AJ (as much as I can't stand him) has a knack for stepping up big time when it matters, against the best competition. You can't discount him for having a good team around him because when teams force him to beat them, he does.
Look at Eli Manning or Ben Rothlesberger. Both are considered elite QBs in today's time and will be in the top 15 on some all time lists. Their titles had great defensive performances helping them out, but they always came through in the clutch on the big stage. Neither of those guys is Brady or Peyton Manning, just like AJ isn't Tebow or Cam. But when you put your team on your back in the big games, that counts more than many of you are acknowledging.

Romo is nothing like Mccarron dude. He can create plays and can be pretty damn good at times. McCarron will just use his 5.4 40 time trying to get escape pressure and either get sacked or throw it out of bounds every 2 out of 3 passes in the NFL.
