University of Alabama: The high mark of college football since 1892
Bama by 17
So you think the starters get pulled at halftime. I was thinking they'd be pulled late 3rd and we only win by 30.
We had better play better than tonight
Why? You think LSU is 35-40 points better than MSU? I don't. We could play exactly like we did tonight and win by 10-14.
Who wants to win by 10 or 14. We can be better than that. yes a win is a win but I don't want to sit and stress all game. Our secondary needs to improve
Always room for improvement I guess. Saban would be proud of the way you fan to a standard.
You know it
Lol, I swear some of you guys haven't watched these 2 teams play in the regular season the past decade.
Transitive property, ever worse, opinionated fake transitive property that you're talking about makes absolutely no sense at all.
LSU is the one team that can slow down your running game and if you think this game won't be close, you're friggin' nuts.
Anyways, I'm sure you guys will trash talk and make stupid arse comments like this all week (Not the good Bama posters).. And you're one of the shitty Bama posters
Danielle Hunter, Jamario Rasco, Anthony FREAK Johnson.. DL wrecking crew of 2013.
You're going down and you're going down hard. At home.
Do you consider yourself a good poster? Because you made these comments last year as well. Can we not goof off as well?
We played like crap against a few crappy teams. Tennessee and Missouri. Horaay for late tds
Can't wait LSU will be top 5 bama at #1..tiger stadium at night..let's not kid ourselves this is gonna be a war!!! Roll tide
Relax, no need to get all defensive the actual players will decide all this for us in a week LOL. I'm just messing around. You're quick though, usually people have to get to know me a little before they declare me shitty.
All kidding aside it will probably be close, though a 10-14 point win isn't exactly a ridiculous off the wall statement. 10 points is a pretty close game. It's not like I said Bama would win by 21, since we know that could never happen, right? That would be crazy talk.

You're alright, I don't care what they say about you.
I get your drift. Who knows with this team we have this season. Sometimes we look like we can beat anyone in the country and sometimes it looks like Auburn can beat us.
Usually against Bama we play a complete game and our best game of the season. It's weird but no matter if we have looked great or lost a few and look bad, we seem to have our best game against Bama. I think it whoever wins will be up either 3 or 4 points, maybe 6 or 7 but a 1 possession game at the end with the team that's down a score has the ball. (Would be awesome if this happened)
I can definitely see how some would predict a double digit victory, I don't see it that way though. Both run games will be be slowed down and these 2 teams are hard to beat when they both are slowed down in the run game. Both coaches have been quoted saying they recruit and build their teams to match up with Bama/LSU every year.
Just my .02 and thanks for being cool about my jackarse post.
(EDIT: Misspelled all kinds of crap, (alcohol))

We were kidding around.. But your username is one of the coolest on this board.. +1
Just to get a good football discussion going on... Just breakdown a position group or something about your team... I just kind of free-wrote (Is that a word) this off the top of my head so it's not pretty.
We have 3 starting OL guys out for the year. We lost 1 in Preseason and the other 2 around the UF game, before and during. So we have a 6th year Sr. at left tackle (The position of our All-American, Chris Faulk). HUGE blow. We also lost Alex Hurst (Our Right Tackle) but Vadal Alexander (Fr.) has gotten better and better. Kid is a stud and the OL has been better with him getting experience. Our starting Left Guard (Josh Williford) has been injured but Trai Turner took over for him and is already better than Williford, dude is a road grater (6'6'' 360). So with experience and now the Bye week, the OL has been outstanding since the UF game. Rushing for 268 yards against South Carolina is no small feat. Also 200+ on TAMU. The addition of Jeremy Hill has helped, rushing for over 120 since the last 2 games he played, also his first 2 games (Fr.).
Sorry so long but that's a little about our OL just for good football talk.
Heard that as well. Loosing 3 OL is hard on the average team but LSU is just like Alabama, they bring in the next 4* or 5* and let them play. I think we, Alabama, will be able to move the ball some and settle for FG's and maybe a TD at some point. LSU will have to pound the ball all night with some play action mixed in to get some short gainers to move the ball. Your QB has turned out to be way over rated and that is a good thing for us. Will be a good game for the good guys, I hope.

LSU always plays their best game against us so I'm sure nothing will come easy. With that said some of the obvious advantages for LSU going into game last year are no longer there. This year not only do we again appear to have a more suffocating defense, we also have the more opportunistic D creating more turnovers. Add that to the fact that Mett is more likely to turn it over than AJ and that is a pretty big advantage for us.
Also our special teams have greatly closed the gap although Wing is still a freak.
I think LSU's biggest advantage is Montgomery/Mingo vs. Fluker. This matchup will likely result in several sacks and possibly a fumble or two.
This game will be very tight. Both teams will have a difficult time finding the endzone. LSU has about as good a defense as Alabama and will be by far the best D the Tide will face this year. Another 9-6 game isn't out of the realm of possibilities. Can't wait.
Sorry but no way is your D better than last years D
The bad news for us Saturday night is that we're gonna have our hands full for 60 minutes. The good news is LSU will have their hands full too. Excluding the title game last year this will be a typical grind it out defensive battle. Should be a good one.
Im pulling for lsu. Suck it bama
Exhibit A as to why your thread is being bumped.
Lsu always gives us their best shot. This game will be a battle
Statistically, it is very close so far. It's difficult to gauge such things, though.
Defensive Stats per game
Pass Eff D---------83.69-----86.62
You can see we are giving up 20 more yards per game but are more stout against the run, thus forcing teams to pass more. Pass D is giving up 30 more yards, but Pass Efficiency D is more important, and we're within 3 points. Scoring D is basically the same, and we've given up more points with the 2/3s on D than last year, because we've had more games completely in hand early than last year. We are playing almost entire quarters with 0 starters on the field and have given up probably 1/3 of our points that way. Turnover margin is a huge one - we're WAYYY better in that category.
Other categories of improvement from last year:
Pass Eff O---------142.52----184.75 (huge difference)
Our average punting and net punting has improved. Our FG kicking has improved with no misses inside 43 yards and several hits from beyond 50.
So while the defense has basically stayed even, our offense and special teams have improved significantly, so we're more complete across the board.
