Is Hunter really still worth 13 mil?

I Believe Auburn and Love IT...4 Life!
You should prepare yourself to live with the consequences of your decisions, whatever they may be.
Fangraphs had him worth 23 million last season and it was one of his best In LA. The year before it was 11 though. One a one year deal I'd be fine but a 38 year old that's steep.

Braves are close to signing Gerald Laird. There is their backup catcher
Braves are also targeting BJ Upton. They will grow to hate BJ very fast unless he has finally figured his hitting out. His defense is outstanding, but his slumps are Uggla esqe
And so it begins...D-Ross was easily the best back up catcher in the league. Gone. Bourne is out & it sounds like we're going after Cody Ross. LMAO. As for Jordan Schafer...well let's just say i'd trade him for a footlong Italian BMT from Subway & not think twice about it. Trying to fix a hole in the boat with duct tape...classic Bravos.

gotta love LMC! never invest anything into their product. it's insane that with the reach the Braves have and revenue they generate they continue to be middle of the road in spending. too much emphasis on developing unproven talent and not enough on getting proven talent via FA. you can't replace a tier 1 FA with bottom of the barrel leftovers.
I'm on record saying if the Braves sign BJ Upton, I'm taking a sabbatical from the team.
As a Red Sox fan I can tell you Cody Ross's season was a product of Fenway.
@ Fenway .298 BA, .356 OB and .565 Slg .921 OPS
Road .232 / .294/ .390 for a .684 ops
He kills LHP (1.010 ops) but vs RH it's .729. Overall not bad but how much is him being a fly ball pull hitter in Fenway a factor?
Agreed, it's mostly my fear of your becoming Yankees west and forcing us to spend more, which I hope we don't do.
I like the way Sabean has been building these teams and hope they continue to do the same. Even if we're not winning titles, these teams match the city and are fun to watch.
Angels are interested in Hiroki Kuroda as are the Yanks, Dodgers, and Red Sox
I like Kuroda and with him it's probably a one year deal because he wants to finish his career in Japan. He wouldn't be a bad one year filler for a 4/5 spot in a rotation. If anything he is pretty consistent.

The list of FA catchers were weak this year. Not much to choose from.
AJ Pierzinski said he's always wanted to be a Bravo. At least he has some fire to him. I would have much rather had him since it's just a backup role.
You are not going to get AJ to come be a back up catcher after the year he had last year.
Fire? Now I'm smdh
The guy will straight up compete. He is one of the most hated players in the league, cause he does not care what it takes to win he will do or try it. I call that having a fire about you.
Not a move, but Jay Bruce is looking for a 6 year extension in Cincinnati. That would mean Votto, Phillips, and Bruce would all be locked in long term. Would make Reds fans happy campers.
Preesh for the assist. This was all I meant.
We got laird the catcher used to play for Detroit I think
Free agent outfielder B.J. Upton visited Turner Field today, meeting with Braves general manager Frank Wren and manager Fredi Gonzalez, reports MLB.com's Mark Bowman. The Braves see Upton as their top free agent target this winter, as Upton will come at a lower price than Michael Bourn.

Luckily the Phils are after him hard as well.
Schafer was strictly a depth move. Sounds like we want BJ Upton
