Alot of people have trouble admitting they were wrong. Since it happens so much to you I guess it's just amplified. No worries.
So you are saying Saban is a puppet head coach and they do sit around the athletic department filling positions with their friends? Because that's what they were doing before. Facts and stuff......oh well
Hate to break it to you but Saban doesnt run the athletic department, he has a tremendous influence, but not to the extent you think he does.
I picture you as some guy sitting on a recliner in their parents basement eating Cheetos and convincing yourself that Saban runs the world...that he is God. Lol.
Lol, get a life man.
Opinions aren't facts. Again, everybody misses sometimes you just happen to miss a lot. Happens.
Yes, yes he does. Mal Moore treated him with kid gloves because he knew if he didn't give Saban everything he wanted, he would leave. If he left, Mal was gone. Mal was about to be fired before he hired Saban anyway. He was VERY unpopular and made us the laughing stock of college football with his debacles. I don't know why that makes you so angry.
Also, comparing bank accounts to a guy from Troy isn't much of a challenge. I haven't lived with my parents since I was 15 except for one and a half years in high school. So.....there goes that theory.
Then give your "opinion" and quit dancing around the subject. Are you saying Saban is a puppet head coach and our AD hires their friends instead of qualified people?

Yes because geography determines how much money you have.
You are right that Saban does get whatever he wants. But he did not pick our new Athletic director he isn't in control to that extent. You are just popping off at the mouth to have something to say.
I think Saban doesn't care who the AD is because he doesn't answer to them. He answers to himself. Your AD runs everything except football and Saban runs football. That simple. Your gumptard good ole boys are at least smart enough to realize they need to leave him alone and whoever they hire will fully understand that. Hiring this guy ensures business ad usual.
No, it doesn't. But it severely limits the chance you grew up with running water or don't live in a trailer. You should tell us about how you guys got a new Chick-fil-a and it was the most important thing to happen to Troy since, well, buckshot.
And I don't have time to explain office politics to you. But yeah man, if Saban doesn't approve of the AD he's gone.Saban is more valuable than any person in that room. He can not be replaced. He makes the decisions whether you want to believe it or not. You want to argue that? Go argue with the guys who are reporting it this morning. I've been around long enough to know who to listen to and who not to. So you will forgive me when I pass over the opinions of a Troy resident for a former member of the athletic department...lol.
You're right about that, he does not answer to the AD. And I would agree with pretty much with the rest too. Not sure what we are arguing here. But "business as usual" is not what it used to mean. Under Shula and the other coaches, the AD and/or board ran the show. Now it's more along the lines of, "give Saban whatever he wants and get out of his way". Anyone dumb enough to hire some jackass to come in and shake things up is crazy. We are about to go on the best run maybe ever in college football. No need to change up what we are doing. But that was anything but the case in the early part of the last decade. Hell, even before that. Dubose was in the same boat.
But at the end of the day, hiring a bad baseball or basketball coach is not going to get your fired. Not when the football program is killing it like it is. Our guys had to call in outside contractors to hire a basketball coach because we didn't know how to search for one.
Fact is you don't know jacks***t. So just shut up and quit pretending like you do. You have no idea what goes on in that building. None at all.
Btw, where do you live big shot?
You implied that he actually controlled the athletic department. Nice back-peddle post.
It's not my info. If you want to tell the ex athletic department guy he's wrong, go for it. But again, most will believe him over you. That's why he gets payed on TOOS to report/talk about it
I grew up in Hoover. Specifically, Riverchase/Greystone
I have a place in B'Ham, AL (Inverness) and Santa Rosa Beach, FL (between Destin and PC). I split time. I don't like to talk about money because it doesn't mean anything to me. I've always been very fortunate. But I'm not going to sit here and let you talk shit to me and not throw it back. Especially when you try to throw a stone sitting in a glass house. C'mon man

I was going to put a witty joke here, but I forgot bama fans still use picture books. So I thought I'd expedite the process for you...
Good ole boy networks are for Auburn. Explains why their athletic programs have reached historically pitiful levels.
Mal is a smart man going out on top. He knows the run is coming to an end soon.
Kirk McNair just pretty much said the exact same thing I said this morning about what happened. I guess those guys were correct after all....who knew? Weedline IMO
Pretty interesting read
Kirk McNair, lulz
Pretty sure everyone literally bleeds crimson....
@CecilHurt: Mal Moore, long-time University of Alabama athletics director, died this morning in Durham, N.C., at the age of 73.
