Any Florida guys know how heavy Bracy has been running at this year? I know he has been lighting it up I don't imagine its above 170.
Thomas Tyner will be running track this season at, at least 205 maybe even as high as 210, he 215 right now. My question for track fans is this: What is more impressive Bracy, Sylve, Demps, etc. being able to run what they have at 170 or less, or Tyner running at 205-210 and running say between 10.20-10.25 meaning he will cut about a tenth or so of his best time. I mean in the absolute sense, a better time is a better time, but in a relative sense whats a more impressive feat?

Bamaborndookie is gonna hit you with an exact weight just sit tight
Im guessing he is around 155/160
fsufsu said... I've got about 10 great stories on Lane but all you need to know is he will never be a loser, that's for sure.
What's more impressive, a 6' guy running 10.2 in the 100m or a 5'8" guy? Still a dumb question.

I can't believe BBD hasn't jumped all over this yet. This type of stuff is his specialty. Most elite track guys appear to be pretty jacked so I wouldn't think that weight would hurt you if it was "good" weight. Just my $.02 though.
I don't know about track, I am asking people who follow it and can give an informed opinion, that's all.
Tyner running a 10.25 at 6'0 200 would be exceedingly impressive. There ya go.
Thanks. If he was just another 170 pound sprinter I wouldn't have even asked the question, just found it interesting.
You're a confusing poster but I guess you got your question answered.
Herschel Walker at 225 lbs being World Class in the 60 meters IMO.
LOL Bro....I had a 2 hour Accounting Exam last night so I'm still in recovery mode. Honestly, I don't know what Bracy weighs right now.....I just know he's FAST.
In terms of Thomas Tyner....great athlete, especially from a size/speed ratio perspective. Honestly, he should focus on track as I don't think he's physical, flexible, tough enough to excel in football. I know......247Sports and Rivals both have him as a 5 star RB.
Well, I've done a lot of Regression Analysis on RB rankings from 2002-2012, primarily based on Rivals [since 247Sports is relatively new] and here is a quick synopsis:
1) Recruiting Organizations overvalue measureables (ie. height/weight, 40 speed) and under-value performance on RB Prospects. You'd think that they'd LEARN their lesson by doing a retrospective analysis of the yearly Top 5 RBs and Pro Bowl RBs in the NFL yet they continue to make the same mistakes each year.
2) Of the top 10 RBs and top 10 All-Purpose RBs for each year from 2002-2008 (guys that could be in the NFL now)......that is 70 of each cohort for a total of 140 RBs assessed......Only 5 out of 140 have made a Pro Bowl.
3) About 15-20% of the 140 players have ever played in the NFL.
***I have much more data based on Regression Analysis and examination of the correlation coefficient, R, as to which variables are the better predictor of RB success in college and the NFL.......and may post a thread on it in the coming weeks. Basically of the variables: height, weight, speed, high school competition & on-field performance............"on field performance" with a "factor" for competition level based on state & class is a better predictor of RB Success than "measureables"
I say all that to say that Thomas Tyner and Altee Tenpenny are overrated RB prospects based on their measureables (Tyner his height/weight and track speed, Tenpenny and his SPARQ Combine 2nd place finish) as neither player's on field performance warrant their rankings. Tenpenny didn't play at all in 2011 and Tyner missed a lot of games.....and they play in Arkansas and Oregon....not exactly hotbeds of elite talent.
Tyner should stick with track.....
****OK......Outbursts such as the above are what happens when you do [hopefully I will complete] a Master of Professional Accountancy Program in 11 months duration while also prepping for the CPA & CMA Exams. Whew...After the Big Duke win and this post....I'm ghost from this site for a couple of days. Another exam upcoming.**

Amen on Tyner
Just gotta get you on the Bryant bandwagon
I agree with what you say about him though
Look forward to seeing you post that in a few weeks.
Dead on the money......Some 3 star who no one is talking about will become Ray Rice..
