ENJOY THE BOJANGLES LEAGUE
Maryland is about to dominate the BIG the ACC was the only thing holding them back
Now if only we can get UTEP and South Dakota State to join the Big Ten, our dominance of college football will begin. Suck it, SEC!
Not excited at all about this. Was really hoping for a bigger football program, but its pretty obvious football programs aren't what is driving these decisions.
Will make for a fun trip though. Catch a Husker game and visit DC.
All Maryland has done is find a buncha new teams to lose to on a regular basis.
I guess they'll get paid more for it though. I'm still confused about why fans constantly jizzer over how much money their conference affiliation brings them. As if they, the fan will ever see any of it.
the athletic department is broke, allows them to move forward...
McMurphy said Rutgers is going to announce for the B1G Tuesday. I guess they won't be taking GT.
Must be a pretty poorly run AD to go broke with all that UA money
Debbie Yow- current NC State AD- is responsible for a lot of this. She was horrible.
^^This^^ Talk radio here gives no air time to Maryland football. It might spend a little time talking about Maryland bball in the Spring once football season is finished. It is 24 hour Redskins(92.7 FM) and Ravens(105.1 FM) coverage. They simply do not care about CFB in this area.
Delaney is what?
Ummmm No. You must be 12.
It's not about where you're from, it's about what you've done..
Welcome Terps! I know I have given you all "the business" recently, but you are a fine school and I couldn't be happier to have an east coast opponent to play on a yearly basis.
The FAN is basically all Redskins and college football (The Junks, Lavar & Dukes, etc).. Maybe you should listen to them if you want manly football talk?

Same here. Maryland and PSU have a lot in common and they are teams that should play yearly in every sport, I can't wait to play in Beaver stadium too. We're all really excited to get out of the Carolina conference!
I think I've found Delany's angle here...
Maryland's record vs the B1G: 4-44
Maryland's record vs the SEC: 49-47 (with wins against every SEC team except aTm)

Well, the B1G just got even worse in football. Whoopdie doo. Not excited. Didn't want this.
They've only played 12 games against the B1G outside of PSU (35-1-1 all time vs MD)? Just feels like the would have played some big ten teams at some point.
really.... think about it like this..... 17 million per year........ potentially 40 million per year!!!!!...
and that isn't even talking about the increase in federal grant money and CIC Money......
there is a reason why 5 of the top 11 athletic departments making money are in the B1G.......
GT has reached out to the B10, but I don't think the B10 will go in that direction. And the B10 is not interested in FSU. This is not just a football decision and FSU does not fit the overall profile the B10 is looking for.

Bigger, not better.
Look for Miami to go back to being independent once the ACC ship sinks.
But richer? Surprisingly, the big ten is interested in money...
Looks like Maryland and Rutgers to the leaders division and Illinois to the legends.
