[Maurice Clarett] was a hard worker in practice and in games. But off the field, he was living a completely different life. "I took golf, fishing, and softball as classes," Clarett says. "Away from class, anything you can think of I did in my 13 months at Ohio State." Drugs and women were two of the things. Cars were another—he owned three of them at a time, including a brand-new Cadillac and Lexus. "I was living the NFL life in college," he says. "I got paid more in college than I do now in the UFL."

I'm glad to see Clarett turn his life around.
But no tattoos, right? That's where we draw the line.
At least it was only him living an NFL life. ALL of m*chigan players were living the NFL life with that hectic practice schedule they had.

Very interesting story
Agree. Let's hope Tressel can do the same.
You sound angry. Is there something that happened in your childhood you'd like to talk about?
26-21. Keep on trolling. It's all you have left when your team sucks.
How is posting a legitimate story about college football on a national college football message board trolling?

You act like his intent is noble. If this was about a former San Diego State player or a former Western Kentucky player, he wouldn't have posted it and highlighted the most unflattering paragraph possible (as it pertains to his rivalry school). Don't sit there and act like this isn't some butt sore scUM fan attacking a school he hates by trying to paint an unflattering picture of what he perceives the culture of the program to be. 26-21.
I thought only SEC schools took recruits with these kind of problems:
But trouble happened to be his other passion. He was arrested multiple times before he was 14 years old, mainly, he says, because he was trying to impress the older kids in the neighborhood. In the eighth grade he was arrested for breaking and entering a house. While attempting to flee the scene, he jumped out of a second-story window and hit his head. He got 13 stitches for the wound. That's why, since high school, he has always worn the number 13 on the football field.
He was sent to a juvenile detention center. There he met a high school football coach who took him under his wing, and who intervened on his behalf with the judge and negotiated a house arrest. Clarett worked out with the coach every day after school
Agree... thats why i keep telling people devidee is not a troll!

With Clarett, 14-9
Without Clarett, 26-21
Thread has potential
That's interesting. In fact, if you take away Maurice Clarett, Troy Smith and Terrelle Pryor, the three highest profile OSU players sanctioned for taking extra benefits during the Tressel era, I wonder what the Vest's record would have been. My guess is something significantly less noteworthy than what he is given credit for. Whoever said "cheaters never win" clearly never met Jim Tressel.

Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.
WOW, documented proof that the BIG10 is just a bunch of cheaters. Paying players??? The NCAA has every right to shut that farce of a conference DOWN! Not only do you suck at football but you cheat as well? Good job Big10. Good job
10 Major Poll National Titles (CFB record)
35 Bowl Wins (CFB record)
72 Wins over last 6 years (CFB record)
Mr.woodson, IF IF IF will get you nowhere in life. I just checked the record books, and yep, the only wins vacated during the Tressel era were those in the 2010 season! But I'm sure the smug, arrogant scUM fan has the real facts right? Only IF your scUMbag program was half as good as ours! Suck it scUMmer......26-21
Just trying to keep up with the SEC
And whoever said b*tches ain't sh*t, never met mr.woodson. Again, 26-21
How can anyone argue with this?
