just turned it on to the game. The green walls make me want to puke and the "homerun sculpture" is as gawdy and ridiculous as possible.
In The Show, the walls are a forest green, which looks a hell of a lot better.
But yeah, caught some of their spring game against NYY on MLB Network the other night and that bright green just kills the entire stadium.
Although I agree that the color scheme is absolutely terrible, I would want it to be my favorite team's home ballpark.
I love it. Something different rather than the same ballpark just in a different city like most teams build now.
Homerun sculpture is terrible. Love the backdrop of the city and the way the can close those windows. That is really nice
I admit, the sculpture is too much for me as a Tennessean but if South Floridians dig it then cool. But PAINT THE DAMN fences something normal.
The Marlins still suck though, I predict about 84 wins for them this season.
Since when does that suck? Given their payroll they're a pretty damn good team. Plenty of power through the lineup and a good young pitching staff.

Does anybody like anything on this board
When do you consider missing the playoffs good?
I like beer
Why can't they find a single engineer that can build a normal/reasonably proportioned centerfield fence? They move from a football stadium with a centerfield fence 500 yards from second base to a brand new baseball field that has a centerfield fence 400 yards from second base.
Same here. Beer and titties are what we like here on tBB.
Think I had the prototype hanging in my room growing up.
Watching okc vs Miami.. Way better than that crap.
Danielle Hunter, Jamario Rasco, Anthony FREAK Johnson.. DL wrecking crew of 2013.
Winning 84 games in the same division as the Phillies and Braves is a good season. They have all the tools to win more than that too. The Marlins are a good team.
I will LOL if they get no hit in the inaugural game.

Its Miami... gotts bring the Cubanos and non fans in somehow. Besides the colors will be great for the 11 bark at the park nights they have... and the concerts they hold every Saturday home Game.
Sunlife had 434 FEET to center
New park is 414 FEET
I like it. It fits in with the cities culture and has a lot of great features. Love the clevelender, city view and fish tanks.
One of the ugliest (if not the ugliest) built parks in recent memory. I'd fire the entire marketing department immediately.

If anything they are an average team, Josh Johnson when he is healthy is an ace but after that you only have Mark Buehrle who is nothing more than a innings eater and a bunch of question marks. They have some bright spots in their lineup with Giancarlo Stanton and Jose Reyes along with Hanley if he can get his head straight. Logan Morrison is good but he needs to hit more for average though. Outside of that though what do they have? John Buck is solid defensively but his bat leaves a lot to be desired, Omar Infante isn't bad but he is nothing more than a solid player, and the rest are roster fillers IMO. Bullpen is pretty good though with Heath Bell as the closer.
Marlins are still the Marlins. Lipstick on a pig is still a pig.
I doubt you are their target market.
