Michigan is still good enough to be a blue blood. They win consistently enough with a strong enough history to stay there. I will allow it.
However! If they don't win another national title by 2033, meaning they will have 1 in like 85 years, then I will be forced to revoke their status. So, we'll revisit this in 20 years.
Also, I hereby rank them dead last in the official blue blood rankings. They can't beat any of the other blue bloods and don't win titles anymore. They've become very Yale-y or Army-ish. Better pick it up, Michigan.
Michigan has beaten ND 4 out of last 6.
And not been nationally relevant since 2006..
Well they won a BCS bowl last year. But I would for most part agree.
Bama was chit for a couple of years also, how quickly you forget.
Michigan has made huge strides since RR got cut, and the recruiting has been the best it has since early Carr days.
You're just judging Michigan from last year which frankly is stupid.
How about if we judge them by the last 10?? Still pretty mediocre.
You see that sign that says 'Rib Tips'??
It's been a dark period for sure. But Michigan is bringing in a ton of talent, and they look like they could be headed back to being an elite program year in year out.
Like I said, Michigan is recruiting at a rate they haven't since before the recruiting website era. The coaching looks to in place (at least defensively).
Just didn't have the guys up front recently. That's changing.
Nattys in the 8 of the last 10 decades broseph. Bama is Blueblood defined.
Considering we've beaten PSU 9 out of the past 12 (including 9 straight between 1997 and 2007), PSU fans might want to sit this discussion out.
Edit: Thought you were a PSU fan. My bad. I realize now you're a Nut, in which case I really only have two words ... John Cooper.

Theta, I'd still like an answer to this.
Or were you just spewing bullsh?
This is absolutely crazy..step away from bias, and how you feel about their fans..they are and always will be a Blue Blood..what are you people not understanding about that term?
CFB is what it is today because of schools like Michigan and Notre Dame...they brought the pride and pageantry, the national attention to a college sport, and ultimately the idea of the NFL! Everything CFB is today, we owe to them, plain and simple..are you people so jealous and spiteful you can't see that? That alone merits Blue Blood status..it's not defined by 10-20-30 years of national relevance and winning NCs...you people are using that sole measurable, there are more than a dozen others.
Pick up and read books on the evolution of CFB and it's historical beginnings, it all started in the BIG-10,.and that dominance remains in the legacy they established that continues onto the pro game. Michigan has a winning program, and that is not defined simply by NCs, but it does reflect and ongoing tradition of winning football games.

the extensive use of 'you people' says otherwise.
Let me clarify again...I have used "you people" my entire life...think "y'all", same usage.
I have used that term with my own children..."you people need to clean up that mess"
Quit trying to find a dig where none exist..never been an issue out here.

cool story doot.
Well Lloyd Caar started to tail off & then UM made a terrible hire in RR. Believe me ND fans know about bad hires. UM will recruit well & do some big things under Hoke imo. Just hope they hold out until our series is ended.
Yes it is, you

Notre Dame barely counts as a blue blood anymore too. They have sucked for most of the past 20 years and don't have a national title in the last 23 years. I'm tellin' ya...you two programs keep it up and your rivalry is going to start looking a lot like Harvard-Yale or Army-Navy.
You mad bro.
It's best to just ignore him. It's like getting into a grown up debate with a little kid.
