Isn't the FSU's horse named Renegade or something like that?
The Big 10 as a conference was strong this year, but that isn't always the case year in and year out.
The SEC has more of a claim at being a premier Basketball conference then the Big10 if you look at Tourny titles.
They act like one year of having a handful of "good" teams makes them the SEC of basketball. One team made the final four and I doubt they in it all.
One of the Big 10 coaches claimed that and now the media is pushing it. Makes me laugh.
Outside of Florida and Kentucky, the SEC hasn't been very good
Exactly....All these BIG fans that are pounding their chest about being the best conference in basketball are some of the same fans who call the "SEC SEC SEC" crowd coat-tail riders. It's all frickin stupid. I don't give 2 craps about how good the conference is, as long as Ohio State is good.
ECU grad, tOSU fan for life. Father since 1/12/13.
I will say that being considered the best conference is not really about if a team from your conference won the Natty.
Ok then the Big 10 can be called the best conference at choking if they have the best teams but not one of them can win a Natty...
The SEC has plenty of top teams in football and multiple teams out of them have won in the last decade.
The problem is football is more of a popularity contest than basketball.
