I honestly don't believe you. I rarely heard the word down South, not in the part I was living in. Occasionally I heard it from whites, but was pretty unusual. 95% of the time I heard the N-word in the South it was from other blacks.
The worst N-word rants I ever heard were in Chicago.
Your post makes no sense. You are aware many of the places you mentioned have large black populations?
The Amish hate black people? What is that based on? Have you talked to them? The Amish hate no one. It's against their religion. They are pacifist and love everyone, even people who mistreat them.
That's not even close to what I said. Honestly, how you got that out of what I said is completely beyond me.
My reference to "the other way around" is just that living in an area with other races can sometimes make people more racist than they already were, simply based on continual unfavorable interactions with members of other races.
Your opinion is your opinion no matter how wrong it is, so in a respectful way I will have to disagree with your comments and say you are probably one of the dumbest human beings on the planet... Granted, you do have some intelligence, however your off the wall comments at times are beyond irrational.
Huss Huss, Stop that fuss, everyone move to the back of the bus
There is so much dilusional fail in this post.
+1 for the chicken and spinning rims quote though.
The Future Is Bright! Hotty Toddy
You need to consider the type of person you are explaining this to dude, read over some of his comments.... God gives us opportunities in life, some choose to be intelligent, others like (cough, cough) the same can't be said for..
I know. I threw my own personal spin on it for a selfish chuckle.
On the contrary, the following is one of the most intelligent things I've seen posted on tBB: "Most racism stems from fear and the illusion that your own race is being threatened"
What's the #1 justification for anger at illegal hispanic immigrants? "Dey took er jerbs!" How often do you hear about the threat of black men in relation to white women? (Ever heard of the Scottsboro Boys?)
Fear of personal threat to one's own race is a strong driving factor behind developed racism.
I don't like blacks cuz they stink
Point well taken.
I don't fear African-Americans or Hispanics. I love all people and people groups because that has been/is being ingrained in me by Jesus Christ.
All of my posts ITT are just me joking and poking fun at the people who believe that all Mississippians are racist. I don't like the reputation Ms has. There is alot of truth to what was said earlier by another poster about the older generation causing alot of the problems Ms has as far as race. I have grown up here and have visited other states. Racists all over. Doesn't matter what State you're from.
This is absolutely the truth. There are uneducated, racist idiots everywhere, and it's just a damn shame.
I do think we're moving towards a better, more tolerant world as the older generation dies off, but the post-election Ole Miss demonstrations shone a pretty good light on the fact that it's far from just the older generation that perpetuates hate and racism. We've still got a long, long ways to go.
sad truth, but as things have changed over the last 50 some years, one can only think they should continue to get better in the next 50... hard to say for sure, I think there will always be some racial tension. Pretty unfortunate to think that as generations pass on things may get better instead of people bettering themselves and learning to accept others.
The fact is that there is no excuse for racism. God made all of us and did not set us at odds with one another, we did that ourselves. Also, we (mankind) are the ones that keep it going.
I agree wholeheartedly with the first sentence of this statement, and while I may have my individual issues with the second sentence, the third is also right up my alley.
In the immortal words of Nas: "Don't start none, won't be none."
I blame the mexicans...
Alright! This thread has gone far enough!
