Uh, what a terrible hire by Mizzou. From Matt Painter to this...hahahahaha
I think it's a decent hire. Nothing mind blowing though.
I think it's a terrible hire. What's Haith's connection to Mizzou, anything?

ACC people here should know about Haith. He is a terrible coach. He recruits athletes that chuck up threes and make the dumbest plays.
Miami is a bottom level job, but they have been either cellar dwellers or mediocre teams during their tenure. At least Lenny Hamilton did something decent there.
Its a decent hire for a crap program, not one like Missouri. If you can't land a big target go take a shot on some random mid major guy with a decent track record and hope you strike gold. Not someone who spend 7 years in a BCS conference and has nothing to show for it.
He might recruit better to Mizzou but honestly his talent was never that bad at Miami. Hes never going to do anything big at Missouri. Might make a few tourneys maybe luck into a couple wins but not much more.

He was a journeyman assistant so he knows the big 12 a bit. Still, Mizzou is a very good job with facilities and a nice recruiting base, and this is what they end up with? Miamis boneheaded plays have always created some entertainment over the past few years though. Maybe the Mizzou AD is a comedian.

AP has learned Miami is expected to release Haith from contract without penalty.
