I don't know why BF3 players are so defensive. The results speak for themselves, imo.
Lol, whats with you guys and COD?
CoD is the equivalent to Transformers. Just because it sells well doesn't mean it is a quality game.
My beef is with Activision. They are everything that is wrong with the gaming industry.
Not defensive, just knowledgeable about the demographics of both games. COD targets kids so they get those sales. Battlefield targets the more skilled player, so they get less sales, but still sell millions. Nothing wrong with either strategy, IMO. Nickelback breaks sales records....
Was there something confusing about my statement?
You guys have fun with your BF3. I'll have fun with MW3.
No, just wanted reasons
Ya see, this is just a condescending, asinine remark. It implies people who play COD are less skilled, which is not necessarily true.
Also, they both appeal to mostly the same audiences, it's a preference thing as to which people prefer. There's no way they could market only to 'skilled' players anyway.
If COD had a game come out with 60 online maps or 100, that would make it legit.
Danielle Hunter, Jamario Rasco, Anthony FREAK Johnson.. DL wrecking crew of 2013.
Why do you say that?
No it's not. You know that only sophisticated, refined, and complex players play teh BF3. Teenie boppers play MW3.
Not true, and he took my statement out of context. What I mean by "targeting the skilled player" is making the game more difficult for the casual player/young kids. COD is great at what it is. It is an easy shooter that is meant to pick up, play, and be good.
Battlefield is a team oriented game. Going lone wolf isn't a good idea. You also have bullet physics. The bullets drop, and you must lead your target if they are running. COD has laser bullets that have no travel time.
There really is countless things I could name, but if you enjoy COD then more power to you. The last one I really likes was COD4. WaW was OK, but anything after that Activision really showed their laziness by copying and pasting the previous game, adding maps, and then selling it for $60.
I mainly play MW3 because it's a good way for me to catch up with my friends who have already graduated from college. That and I run shit
MW2 was the last good COD game to come out. COD is just running out of things to keep the game interesting. It's a dying series and I wouldn't recommend buying the next game.
COD sucks a bag of dicks. Watered down with killstreaks, 12 year olds cursing everyone and throwing hissy fits, campers everywhere, no team play whatsoever, and terrible map layout. Battlefield is superior to COD in every way. It's been the same game/engine for six straight years..what a joke.
The graphics in BF are terrible.
my bad I thought you were referring to the tactical insertions. didn't know the spawn camping term. I havent really ran into it all that much but I don't play as much as I used to.
XoGisele, Ashley Sky, Niki Skyler
This argument is so stupid. Those who play Battlefeild are gonna say it's better. Those who play COD will say it's better. At the end of the day all that really matters is that you enjoy the game you play. I don't give a shit if you play hello kitty's island adventure. If thats what you enjoy I'm not gonna hate on it.
Ah, spawn camping is when people from the opposing team wait at all the spawn locations to kill you.
They really just need to set it up so that you spawn as far from enemies as possible.
Also, I used to love CoD but now I've gotten so tired of all the BS I'm going to try out BF3.
too bad it is replete with problems...

but then there's this
Difference being 99.9% of the people in this thread in favor of Battlefield used to play tons of COD. Where as the COD players more than likely have yet to try Battlefield. I have only met a couple of people that have played both and chose COD instead of BF. I played the hell out of COD for years, but finally got sick of the same game being released every year. Switched to BF 2 years ago and havent played one minute of COD since.
