how much of a piece of crap Lane Kiffin is. He fires his own father because he doesn't know how to manage a football team.
Don't worry USC fans, you will be shown the light next year when you suck yet again, Lane Kiffin is the king of the haven't done crap club.
Steve Spurrier is a God, and Mark Richt worships him
I don't like Kiffen but his Father most definitely deserved to be fired. He's washed up and his D's have sucked since UT... What do you want him to do? Fire himself?
Danielle Hunter, Jamario Rasco, Anthony FREAK Johnson.. DL wrecking crew of 2013.
He wants USC to get rid of Lane. I'm not exactly sure why a Georgia fan cares so much though...
lol , they have terrible defensive players for one. Lane fired his dad to save his own ass.
He better have fired his Dad.. Because his D would've got him fired really quick.
Monte can't defend the spread, which the Pac has a ton of teams using.
I would agree with that but it's not like his father didn't know what was going on. Lane was more than likely told that it was his father or both of them. I'm sure that Monte wouldn't want his son to lose that job for his sake either. Look, I hate Lane as much as the next guy, but it wouldn't make any sense for Lane to lose his dream job to take a stand for his father. Monte probably told him to not be stupid. Lane isn't going to get another chance like the one that he has now. Monte is old as dirt and will be just fine. I'm sure that Monte can go back to the pro's fairly easily. His defense works better in the pro's anyway.
I also think calling their players terrible is a bit of a stretch. They have serious talent.
Don't think so bud. Show me teams that have recruited better players defensively.
Doubt you could name more than a handful if that.
Correction, Monte's players cant defend the spread. Don't give me the scheme crap, if you have good players none of it matters. USC has mediocre talent on defense and thats not Monte's problem.
I understand all of that. The reason USC's defense sucks has nothing to do with one of the best DC's to ever coach football and his "scheme". Every team in CFB runs some form of 4-3 cover 2 defense...you got to have the players to be good. Pete's last year they had a terrible defense as well, is that because of scheme or players?
Its stupid to me that CLK decided to throw his dad under the bus instead of telling the higher ups like it is, your talent on D sucks not the coaches.
Lmao, thread fail.
Dude.. The Tampa 2 can't defend the spread for sh1t.. It has a lot to do with Scheme.
Monte wasn't aggressive enough and players weren't good enough
What is happiness? The feeling that power is growing, that resistance is overcome.--Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche
Too bad Jarvis jones had to transfer from USC
He certainly would have helped, but you guys that are saying that USC doesn't have any talent on defense are borderline retarded.
We can revisit this when USC sucks on defense again next year
Seriously, you're going to bump this next year?
It's bad enough you're bumping this dumb @ss thread today.
Did you watch Michigan's defense with Greg Mattison compared to when Greg Robinson was coaching it? We had mediocre talent and it became a top 20 defense in one season. If you have a competant defensive coordinator you can make things happen. I guaruntee USC has more talent on defense now than we did.
