If its not Goodell then who ?
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell's compensation nearly tripled to $29.49M in 2011.
fsufsu said... I've got about 10 great stories on Lane but all you need to know is he will never be a loser, that's for sure.
People that hate on Goodel are probably the same plebes who think their boss doesn't do anything but sit around a collect paychecks because he/she is not seen out doing grunt work every day.
I'd be willing to bet Roger's compensation is tied to growth just like every other executive out there. There's no reason he shouldn't be compensated according to the contract he and his representatives negotiated and his employers agreed to pay.
I Believe Auburn and Love IT...4 Life!
You should prepare yourself to live with the consequences of your decisions, whatever they may be.
yeah, no doubt you deserve 30 million a year when ex-players are dying in pain and literally not getting a penny of help from guys like Goodell.... who get insanely rich off their exploits
He obviously cares about player safety and deserves every penny, while still on the campaign for a longer season
Your second paragraph was insanely stupid, keep trying brah

Per play, it's Tebow.
Good god he was terrible, I remember hoping he would be one of the best ever
Jordan broke that poor kid mentally

Can you show me where in Goodel's contract it says his job duties entail caring for employees who worked for his organization prior to him obtaining his current position?
Can you also please provide physical evidence that Roger is not performing his job duties as required by his employers.
I'll wait anxiously for your insults to veil the fact you have no idea what you're talking about.
XoGisele, Ashley Sky, Niki Skyler
sounds like our elected officials in DC. getting rich off others
"where's Johnnie Cochran & the posers ?"
I love how the people that defend Goodell has the worst reasons ever for doing so
The man is the hitler of american sports, I have no interest in explaining why to an idiot such as yourself cause you wouldn't listen anyways
To be fair, you can't prove any more than Nova can.
Golden is better then Jimbo... I feared it was true. He is going to hoist a crystal ball there - fsufsu
GTFO, he gives the sixers at least 5 good minutes a week
On a serious note, I love when Kwame comes in the game. He's so bad it's just hilarious to watch. He also can't shoot a free throw to save his life.
Exactly and I can prove why he sucks, Im just tired of this argument at this point
I have had it on here too many times already
Goodell is incredibly overpaid, 30 million dollars a year for somebody that runs a sports league is just stupid
Especially when said league rapes its players so badly that a season was almost cancelled just a few years ago
I'm not pretending to know if he's successful at his job or not.
Couldn't handle the herb... It's not for everybody.
Without self-knowledge there is no individuality
Successful or not, it doesn't mean he's not overpaid.
You literally just agreed that you don't know what you're talking about and said you know what you're talking about in less than 10 words.
Im not saying he is or isn't successful
That all depends on what you define as success, if its making money then sure he is doing a bang up job
If its making sure the game is unrecognizable in 10 years, and making sure that ex-players receive little to no benefits while he is stacking millions of dollars... then he is the most successful man on this planet
Personally, I think he is grossly over-paid and is doing nothing more than turning americas best sport into a grab ass game for females and fantasy football nerds
According to what scale? Other professional sports league executives?
Or the average, middle class sports fan who knows nothing about the job duties and compensation of his contract?
Mike Hampton of the Atlanta Braves.
This guy belongs in the discussion. Had a couple great seasons pitching, got PAID. Massive contract, and then he got hurt, and hurt again. He basically rode the bench for ATL while they blew millions on him that could have been utilized elsewhere.
Mike Hampton, he was bad. He got a lot of money for being bad.
That's a good one. Even Hampton was shocked at that contract the Rockies gave him that what, 3 other teams finished paying?
Sports fans pay his salary so yes, their opinion has clout. By your logic the president should be the highest paid individual in the US. (obviously not Obama but a good one)
Should have been a DH in the AL.
